    Thank you! So many ideas 😊 Would you show us in a video what observations or cues help you decide which activities to offer?

    Thank you for sharing this! I was looking for an explanation of pretend kitchen and real kitchen together. Can I ask how did you know he was not ready for the water yet? Do you think it would be a mistake to add water in a play kitchen area or can it work?

    Such outstanding design of the environment! I did many of these things when my kiddos were toddlers in the early 90's, but you have some really lovely details. Really love the ingenious use of towel rack as pullup to the mirror.

    This kitchen area is amazing! My son is about to turn 2 and this is so helpful. None of the other moms that I am friends with practice montessori so it's nice to have some frame of reference for what I can do to encourage my son.

    I would love to hear more about the sleep space transitions in the first year of your child. For example, what if any medical advice did you follow, what or which cues did your child exhibit, what bedding items did you consider during each transition (bassinet, crib, mattresses, monitoring equipment like cameras or radios), what patterns of naps and overnight sleep did you attempt to follow and which were actually what you experienced especially considering feeding patterns. I ask because I am not considering a crib at all and rather thinking to go straight to a breathable mattress (maybe start crib size then twin Newton mattress).

    Super helpful content! Especially setting up the environment so you don't have to limit him and the steps how you are teaching him to feed himself. Also: I would love to see a "day in the life" of you and your son 😊

    Love these videos! Do you have links to some of the items you discuss? Specifically the floor pillows and plate set?

    • @living.room.montessori
      @living.room.montessori ปีที่แล้ว

      So glad to hear that you are enjoying these videos! I will eventually add some links to the description. The plate set is from Ezpz. The floor pillows are part of a Nugget set (there are a lot of great movement mats and foam climbing blocks that would work just as great). The cylinder pillow is repurposed from the daybed I have in my son's room. Hope this helps get you started.

    How do you sterilize some of these toys. Especially the wood toys cause wood absorbs everything.

    • @living.room.montessori
      @living.room.montessori ปีที่แล้ว

      I used white vinegar or apple cider vinegar. I made a solution of vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio. I spayed some of the solution on a cloth and wiped it over the toy then left it to air dry.

    Where did you buy the hook for the mobiles?

    • @living.room.montessori
      @living.room.montessori ปีที่แล้ว

      I searched for a "wall-mounted wooden mobile arm". This was a more affordable option that didn't take up so much floor space. The way it mounted to the wall allowed me to take it off and on easily enough. This made it easy to bring the mobile arm down to the living room.

    I would love to see how you prepared for your baby item wise! I am planning on starting a family and a basic "what you need" for your first baby in a home that wants to focus on Montessori video would be amazing if you have the time and energy for it. I especially would love to know where that bed bassinet is from! It looks perfect for safe co-sleeping.

    • @living.room.montessori
      @living.room.montessori ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that is a great idea for a video! I am slow on publishing videos at the moment, but I will add that to my list. The bed bassinet is a SwaddleMe By Your Side Sleeper. Searching for a portable/travel bassinet will help you find similar bassinets. We used it every night and it worked great until my son began rolling over.

      Lovely video! I'm wondering if this is the only setup you have at home in terms of feeding and changing or if you also have a nursery with the same setup? With my firstborn, we had these areas mainly set in the nursery upstairs and I always preferred to change him there instead of downstairs for the first few months as it was easier with the setup, but wondering if it's worth replicating downstairs this time round!
