This was Noel's guitar peak. All his best performances come from this period. . budokon etc .. which is crazy really considering this is also the period Noel says was the peak of his drug taking and this was the tour that essentially killed the original band line up ... They were never the same after bonehead and guigsy walked .. and within the next two albums Noel completely phoned in his guitar and let gem do everything... This period tho. He was legit on fire , not bad considering he's on record saying 'I'm not a lead guitarist' 😅

He is relatively doing what you would call "drops" in electronic music. He builds the solo with emotions. You dont have to be technically complicated to create good solos. I think he overdoes with this a lot too sometimes in this song but yeah, even if you only have few notes, use it effectively emotionally

I prefer this to the studio version. The guitars don’t have that ugly wall of flattening noise sound
