Understanding Disc Golf Flight Numbers
มุมมอง 1643 ปีที่แล้ว
Hopefully this will help in picking out discs that will do what you want them to! I wasted quite a bit of money when I first started by buying discs I couldn't throw and I wished I'd have known then what I know now, so I'm hoping this is useful. If you have any questions, recommendations, or requests for future videos, please be sure to let me know below! Thank you very much for watching!
Ranking Disc Golf Manufacturers By...Quality Control?

This list is based on my personal experiences with each brand so far. Please know that I understand everyone has different experiences so by no means am I attempting to claim that this list is 100% "correct." Everyone has different experiences and quality in and of itself is a very subjective thing My hope is that this is at least somewhat helpful for choosing brands from the perspective of the...
Prodigy F5: Something for Everyone (Review)

This is my review of the Prodigy F5 in 400 plastic! I'm sorry I haven't uploaded much in the last year, but I'm hoping to publish one video per week, mostly reviews! If you have any suggestions or questions, please let me know! Also, I'm working on my sound editing skills. This is my quick review of Discraft's newly released first-run Malta, the fourth disc released under the Paul McBeth line. Also, I'm very sorry about the road and wind noise during the course footage, I tried correcting it as much as I could, but it's still messy. I'm working on getting a portable microphone ...

2020 In the Bag! (Mixed Manufacturers)

My own in the bag for the 2020 season! These videos tend to be my favorite kind of disc golf content, so I wanted to take a crack at making my own. Please be kind about the audio, I know it's a mess. It will improve in the future. I intend to make a ton of disc golf content on this channel soon, including disc reviews, player profiles, building the bag comparisons, and much more. Boss super consistent? Wow. I have had ones that flip always and ones that are like bricks. Some are domy, some are flat. One had insane glide, therefore it overshot the basket by 30m and went into pond - on the first shot.

if more than Half of the innova discs end up in "haven't thrown" maybe don’t make a tier list. just food for thought wraith being mandatory because "it’s a destroyer for slower arm speed" is hypocritical for not putting the destroyer in mando by the way. destroyer, shryke, and tern not in mando is just silly. I understand you can have your own opinion, but your opinion is wrong :)

I would highly recommend it in K3. It holds an anny very well and just "floats" and pans. I carry a K3 and a K1 soft as K1 soft can handle my very poor forehand form but still just goes straight.

Outstanding. Very few discs in my bag are as forgiving for me. I can't really overpower it, and the confidence it gives me to really attack the basket on my approach shots has cut a stroke or two off my average rounds.

Hearing people describe the rat, and watching a cardmate ace with it in the last tourney I played it, makes me want to try the rat... Thunderbird & Firebird are probably mandos for me, and maybe the teebird. Atlas is always my underrated straight flying mid, as it's really the only mid from Innova I like to bag. The mirage is sickkkk. Probably always going to have one in the bag. It's basically a baby uplink

I agree with all, but Kastaplast should be above Average, if not Gold Standard. I absolutely love Berg, Reko, Grym X and Falk, and in K1 they are all extreamly resistant. So remove Kastaplast to 1. or 2. category and my list would be exactly the same. 95% of my discs are from Lat64 or Kastaplast, my 2 most favourite manufactures. Best Lat64 discs are Pure, Compass and Explorer. There is only 1 disc what isnt from these 2 and i absolutely love it - Zone.

I HATE the Mako3….but it’s been so ridiculously crucial for me getting better that it is mandatory for me to have. It feels like crap. I have a hard time getting it to go straight at all. When I do, it has some distance though and perfecting that continues to help me throw other discs better. The leopard I love and consider that to be mandatory as well.

Great review! Berg wasn't my thing, it's unnecessarily short and glideless to be useful for me. I bag the Rhyno for that slot, it's more in the range I have trouble with distance control, and I prefer the feel.

I bag both add my putting putter for touch anny shots and the 3 discs are my bread and butter inside 200'. Berg is just as described, throw it directly at the basket and it is very forgiving in regards to disc angles and such. It does not "parachute" well compared to a typical putter so I just like it for low and straight, Nothing can compete with it for that throw.

I realize that tier lists are entirely opinion, and I'm not saying that you're necessarily wrong for having the opinions that you have, and I also understand that this video is almost a year old at this point. However, one critique that I will offer is: if you're doing a tier list of one manufacturer, you can't really compare discs to another manufacturer. A tier list of one would be for building a bag of that particular manufacturer. You put the firebird as mandatory because "there's no other disc from any manufacturer that does what it does." Being a primarily Innova thrower, I know that a DD Felon is (number-wise) basically the exact same disc, and a Discraft Raptor is only slightly different (slightly more glide & marginally less fade). Plenty of discs can fill the slot of a Firebird.

    • @gannonolson6294
      @gannonolson6294 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Every manufacturer has their firebird clone, so yes. I think it's silly to say the most popular overstable fairway that's copied time and time again is the only one of it's kind. Quite ignorant actually. I personally like the feel of a Fireball better. And even the name is a ripoff of a firebird 😅
