Access Community Health
New Zealand
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 ส.ค. 2015
Access Community Health has been delivering home care and support services across New Zealand since 1927. When we were first established early 'bush nurses' would ride horse back across their local rural communities delivering vital support services to people in their home.
Today we provide a wide range of services including home assistance, personal care, palliative care, medication management and fully qualified nursing to all parts of the country through our team of 3,500 support workers and 150 nurses. We work closely with Disability Support - MSD, Te Whatu Ora, and ACC to lend a hand to over 40,000 people nationwide.

The staircase climbing exercise is a NO-NO for me. As demonstrated, the sw tries steadying the client with her hands. What happens when she suddenly trips or can't weight-bear any longer before getting to the top of the stairs.
Never walk behind someone going upstairs. If they fall back you’ve had it.
where should they walk then in order to support, in front of them, backwards? No chance of helping someone catch their balance then.. I'd have thought
Dumbass
This is correct. It's understandable to think: "If I'm in front of them, how can I break their fall?", but the answer is it's best for one to fall so the other can get help, than both to fall and - because of the injuries sustained - help doesn't arrive in time. Carers have died due to following behind. It's safety first always. If a carer is injured on their first visit because of this, it's not just them to suffer, but portentially the clients afterwards.
Quite informative, I now see the need of having drivers licence.
Lots of love for Robyn
Good demonstration a care for elderly has a big heart..proud caregivere here❤❤❤Thanks for sharing🙏

20 minutes waiting on the phone. Random carers turning up without notification. Substitute carers not showing up. Call backs take days. Regular carer is excellent but stay away from this company if you're just starting to get help - they have too many clients.
