Wow I love your set up . Question I have a Chinese pot still 10 gallon would I be able to cut a hole in my lid and install a 2 inch 4 plate stack on it or should I just start over with a new still

do you have to do a stripping and spirit run? or is it a one and done?

    • @kalleklp7291

Usually, when one runs a plated column, like a flute it's just "one and done". That's the whole idea about such a thing, you can skip the stripping run if you want to do so. However, I get a better product with a stripping run prior.

This guy is running spirits WAY too hot. Might be his 2nd run from mash, probably his 3rd, judging by the way the product in his boiler is bubbling. Good setup for vodka, probably trying to run something akin to 195 everclear. I hope he's running sugar wash because anything else lost all of its flavor..

That is a hillbilly flute. Didn't make that column that's for damned sure. I know the guy that designed the hillbilly flute. If it ain't, that's a 1 to 1 clone. Bet the plates are copper too

Hey Bud, It is obviously not a Hillbilly still, T sections are modular. Hillbilly do not make modular Tees. Get you facts straight. Every column still I have ever seen has copper plates. You don't know shit from clay.
