The Mighty Kings of Harmony of Newton, MS - Jesus Will Lead You To The Land
Introducing The Mighty Mighty Mighty Kings of Harmony of Newton, MS....during the soulful 70's era of quartet these gents were a local favorite and gained national attention in 1970. They shifted between tearjerkers and house wreckers seemlessly. This track is taken from their "Do Rocking Spirituals" LP. The group was formed in 1964 under the direction of the late Elijah Whitehead they recorded (1) 45 on their own label named TRW to represent the core members of the group Whitehead, Robinson and Thompson. Later they added 3 Lp's to their list of recordings. The group at one point consisted of 3 sets of brothers Robinson, Thompson and Laster. This was an awesome group during their time and one of my all-time favorites.

11/2023 you can tell these guys really loved God...they pretty much preached the scriptures in most of their songs....man i wish I could go back in time and see a lot of groups that was before my time....but I thank God for TH-cam.

I didn't know that Rev. Chick Alston sang with the Bright Stars. He and I were in School together at Shaw University. At that time he was pastoring a Church in South Carolina. I cannot remember the city where the Church was located.

The first time I'd ever heard this song was a group name The Clouds of Harmony of Sandersville Ga. They would rock the house with this one 😄❤️❤️. Some good times I had growing up singing quartet and Lord knows I miss them days.
