Surprised you didn't cover more Ultimates. Some might consider them horrible or morally bankrupt individuals, to the point of it being entertaining to see how low they can stoop.

It was really interesting hearing the perspectives of people who are new to the series. I personally adore it, though I agree that it's not for everyone. Cope's world is pretty bleak and its characters, even if seeming sympathetic at times, can be complete monsters at others. I disagree that there's not enough to show that what the red berry boys are doing is evil, their leader is literally a child lover. I'd even go as far as to say that it's a bit on the nose.

I was listening to my normal people and remembered this comic from years ago and went out on a limb.. searched southern cross and BAM here we are. You guys have my vote. I really want to find more gems with the Comic Panel!

With the amount of time between each panel I assumed that they didn't just see each other a few times. I agree it is an emotional affair and I just can't get over that. She doesn't leave Guieseppe, When she says shell be sleeping in her own bed for the time being, it means she will sleep at home until the relationship goes further. I don't think its at all intended to show that she's leaving Giuseppe. I think that it's implied that Claudia came to terms with it after she found out her father knew. Considering she said she wasn't going to cut her mothers hair or give her the cookie recipe for this other man, But eventually she did. They obviously couldn't just get together in the beginning considering she was married, couldn't leave Claudia without her father, and they wanted different lives. It would have made more sense in my opinion if Giuseppe did know about Zeno from the beginning. If she was open and honest about being friends with Zeno instead of keeping secrets. And I dont think she sees Zeno as the "real prize" or guiseppe as the practice husband. The way I interpreted it was that everything was right where it should be in the end. If she went back in time I think she'd still marry Guiseppe. I think they would still do what they did because in the end it worked out without any feeling that either of them missed out on life. This is when they are ready for eachother. The last chapter could have been better. It went backwards to parallel the first page when they see each other with the umbrella but there were different ways to go about it. Maybe I'd like it more if it wasn't just a one night stand. if they knew each other for a while, they knew each others future plans. But then it wouldn't make sense for them not to see each other again for so long. Unless they decided to go their separate ways and just couldn't forget about each other. I loved the art, it's beautiful and I'm incredibly inspired by it. And, I'm surprised there was no mention of the character bogdan in chapter thirteen. The one thing I really hated about this book was the way he was portrayed.

Hey just a note about the end of the story. Ruth did not kill Krem. You can see him clutching his head in one of the final panels as they walk away

I hope they Continue the Series Her and Sword master have potential they just need to advertise them more I also hope they can fix the pattern of the story as well and actually establish the Characters and the relationships and introduce more original Villains in the near future I look forward to see where this story goes also keep up the Great work guys.

Actually listening to this podcast a second time and have to laugh at how you four don't even recognize a cameo appearance of Sergio Aragones' Groo the Wanderer. Must have a really limited access to comics up there in Alaska....

Unfortunately, you chose a book which collects a bunch of individual short stories that were originally published in a couple anthology comics, at the vary start of the creator's career. Usagi Yojimbo Book 2: Samurai collects the stories that started off his own self-titled series. Book 1 is great because it introduces some of the main recurring characters, but the 2nd book really starts to pull all the threads together that have made the series last for over 35 years.....

Did you catch the pun behind the demon spearman Jei's name? Try adding the Japanese honorific "San" to the end of his name.....
