TASTE TESTED TELECASTER How did Leonidas Fender catch lightning in a bottle and voice all music for voices he hadn’t even heard and musical styles unborn. Is it alchemy or engineering? He didn’t know, he thought England was Winston Churchill and The Beatles. His ‘Electric Spanish Guitar’ Broadcaster, Esquire, Telecaster was made for background music in a country setting by a farm boy, born in a...

Uma das melhores versões de "Palhaço" que já ouvi na vida... Sublime Duo Assad... Daí eles vêm com uma pedrada, "Dança das Cabeças" logo em seguida! Assim já é demais!
You do realise they’re miming & he’s not even hitting the drums 🤣
Everyone’s miming on top of the pops but Mel’s really playing the drums you can hear!
When I first heard "SOS" by Go West I was hocked by the musicality of his legato/tremolo phrases, R.I.P., genius....
I think if I lived till 300 I still wouldn't be able to play that
Why do so many posters name videos like this? It's is it just to get people to click on their vide... Oh, right...
Yes, that’s the way social media works but thanks for listening
Now you need to look up Albert Lee's solo on Rodney Crowell's "Till I Gain Control Again".
Somewhere, Bill Frisell smiles amiably. Takes a sip of tea.
Did you post the wrong video by mistake? It's okay we all mess up every now and then!
Haha thanks for listening
the uploader of this video clearly hasn't heard or seen the late Danny Gatton
Love Danny Gatton
No, it is definitely not the greatest solo duh
Thanks for listening Brian
that wasnt really a solo
More of a harmonic statement perhaps?
No, but it's very good.
Thanks for listening
Pete Townshend the legend ❤😊
Scatterbrain from Blow by Blow sped up a bit
It’s part of a track from Blow by Blow or Wired album… I forget which. It’s brilliant though and I’ve not seen Jeff play it so great to see. Thanks for posting up.. even in this weird way ❤
??? Loved Jeff since 1968, but Scott Henderson could play that easily!
It's a stupid title and isn't even a solo.
ELEGANT SLEEPY AND TASTY .. guys in my little town would use this little piece as a toothpick ...
Ooo yes ok, thanks for listening
Ah? .. no?
Oh k
Hey players: What guitar is used in the video for "It's Alright For You" and is it in a nonstandard tuning?
Are you kidding me?
It is not.
Thanks for listening Colin, what’s yours?
Adam Levy. Has his own TH-cam channel www.youtube.com/@AdamLevyGuitarTips
Click-bait.
@@maxwellfan55 thanks for listening anyway
He's excellent but Stairway to Heaven is still the greatest Tele solo.
oh my goodness, yes indeed!
Nope
Wrong title?
Ooo ok thanks for listening anyway
So presciently subtle, for the most discerning of palates, Norah's a Shankar so her music's plangently subtle and poignant so not easy to improvise on so it's all about feel and timing
@@johnhill5691 thanks for listening
Danny Gatton
No, that's not Danny...
@ I know it isn’t I was pointing out Danny G was awesome on a Telecaster that’s all
@@johnboyce1916 Ah....yes!
Sorry, but not even close. Decent player, but not even close.
He’s an acquired taste but I know what you mean
No
Not your taste?
Grant Guissman?
No not Grant, this is Grant Guissman: th-cam.com/video/zHY0SNOrbQE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_wpAkks2v-FpFh19
OR, hang on, is it?
Adam Levy I guess. A very tasty guitar player.
IF you like Jazz played on a Telecaster, check out Ed Bickert.
Ed’s great! Do you know who this is?
@@guitarnationtvNora's #1 man.
Thanks, and thanks for listening
@@guitarnationtv ???? I posted a rather lengthy answer to your question. Why did it dissappear? Ok, at the risk of having a bunch of work go up in smoke (AGAIN), the guitar player seen here is Adam Levy. The bassist seen is Lee Alexander and the drummer is Andrew Borger. Collectively, they were known as Norah Jones's "Very Handsome Band". This footage is from Norah Jones's 2003 release, "Live in New Orleans". I believe the song they're playing here is "Lonestar".
@DeanMk1 I don’t know where your other comment went but thank you for this one
Bit of a sore throat at the intro there
12 mins and still too short. I could take an hour of this.
Uno dei tantissimi pregi, dell'inarrivabile Jeff Beck, è la sua poliedrica versatilità, una cosa, semplicemente, stupefacente!!!
Absolutely fabulous, yes!
This is a great tribute song for Nick Drake 💔❤️🔥
None of the modern technical players, i.e. those who developed in the era of floating bridges including Van Halen, Holdsworth, Satriani and Vai as brilliant as they are can hold a candle to Alan Murphy when improvising and producing solos. He can play anything he can imagine in the moment with amazing musicality and perfect control. Watch the Go West videos where Murphy and Peter Cox are musically "jousting" like at the end of "Innocence" or SOS from The Tube - they are both singing like angels in Caeli. He left us too soon. But he has still provided me with so much pleasure.
Nice summary, I agree and although a modest man, with such great talent, Alan knew exactly how good he was! Bless you for recognising it, Alan is smiling I’m sure
Loved Alan but got to disagree with you
@@christopherdean2982 In what way?
I hope I can be forgiven for saying here that Lizzie and Tal are, in the words of the immortal Fats Waller, "awfully easy on the eye." 😂
Why isn't John Beck and Bob Dalton joining him?
When? They were an amazing band with John, Bob, Dick and Frank such a brilliant combination but they’re doing their own things now and Francis has to break in new musicians for each uk tour
This is amazing to hear Alan speak i wish there were more videos of him speaking or being interviewed.
Alan was very confident, as most of our great guitarists were, so he was commensurately a great public speaker as those who saw us at loads of Fender brand activation seminars and Fender Hot Squad events would attest
I come back and watch this video so often he's such a huge inspiration on me. I'm gonna get one of the new fender vintage ii strats and make my Murphy tribute guitar I've got the reflex pickups for it already. That article in guitarist magazine was amazing as well with fantastic photos of his guitar.
Glad you liked it and the Guitarist mag article with Al's Squier small Fender big Sunburst Strat in. The Aria wasn't al's guitar dunno why they put that in I asked them not to. Al was already experimenting with Fender proto pups, and the Fender noiseless Strat pups are fab and the vintage pups are also worth checking out before you buy and see which Fenders come with the noiseless pups fitted? I'm thinking about taking Al's Strat to the Kempton Park Guitar show next week, waddy a think?
@@johnhill5691 I really wanted to go to that show but I'm away that weekend I'm gutted to hear the Al guitar might be there that's my dream guitar to see in person and take loads of photos of. I have a photo of Al with what I think is a fender deluxe with lace pickups did he like those pickups?
Que bello❤
The violinist was so inspired by JB I thought she was gonna take off and fly around the room.
Lizzie is flying on our dreams ❤
Amazing. Odair can really make the guitar sing ❤
Absolutely and Dukes Hall is not the best acoustic for guitar so they were uneasy about the amplification pa provided which was either side of the magical brothers instead of next to them with the acoustic combo and classical mic system I offered but was rejected. Nevertheless it was a fabulous recital ❤
So good!
Sad
.....don't be sad it was a lot of fun
Equinox - Twang, Bang, Kerrang!
Yes I got all of my Fender friends to take part
I prefer this to the multi-multitrack microtonal blx he usually does
Guitarists of old were very posh him and Jimmy Page being examples. Can just imagine Keef saying to Mick when writing Honky Tonk ,women, that’s rather plain fare Mick old boy, what do the other fellow’s think ?😂
Our Guitarists of old were all working class Art students so not posh or privileged but main thing that propelled them to posh wealth was being forced to write songs and posh boy managers locked them in rooms to make them write which is what Andrew Loog Oldham did with Mick and Keith
