Left back and right front are practically just as convenient, it just makes driving in forward or backward more convenient depending on the setup.

I've noticed the same slower speeds with my official adapter with at least 30min pre-conditioning. At only 20% state of charge, only max to 87kw. Wonder if it's by design.

When they located the charge port to the passenger side, Nissan was planning ahead so that the Ariya could be charged at a Tesla charging station. Thank goodness they did. Nissan got it right.

Ben, Walter at the Network Architect Channel turned me onto your channel, and I like what I see. I frequently drive my Model Y through Ohio from Florida and seeing Ionna at Sheetz locations is a good complement to Superchargers. Keep up the great work!

I just watched a video from Michael molinaro and he has a recirculating pump going to the bottom of his tank where the drain in. The drain is still there as well. Not sure if he uses that for hydronic heat or for shower and sink hot water. But he has a 80 gallon bradford white, 3 minute video on here about it, worth checking out.

$0.10-0.15 / kWh is a really good deal. Especially in Illinois.

$33 is insane. I thought charging was supposed to be more affordable that filling up on gas.

Glad to see IONNA starting to install its network. I used to teach at Wittenberg University in Springfield. If I ever go back there to visit, I'll be sure to plug in at this DCFC site! I hope they do put a canopy over the stalls.

Nice video! I will stick with tesla super chargers. Nearly 50 cents per kilowatt is kind of expensive.

Not worried about the pre-authorization. That is the value that is usually held on gas pumps. They just don't usually display it on the terminal. (There is frequently a sticker on the pump.) I like the location right off the highway. It makes a good backup, or alternative, to the nearby EA.

Looks amazing. I’m glad somebody with a Tesla showed up. I wish he would have compared & contrasted charging speed to a Tesla Supercharger. I live in Tampa but grew up in Dayton. I will be there, end of January or beginning of February, conducting some business. I’m thinking of renting a Model 3 just so I have a reason to charge at the Springfield location, which I assume is just off of I-70.

Sheetz low key make some good food haha. I love going to sheetz when going on road trips. Interesting to see Ionna as a normal location and not a fancy rechargery. We need talk to Ionna about that high $75 hold. Great video!

Hello dear friends, I saw your post today and would like to thank you for it. I also like the Ariya very much and am considering whether I should switch from my current plug-in hybrid (which I am actually quite happy with) to a fully electric car. I have already looked at several cars and at the moment there are two that I really liked, those are the new all-electric Ford Explorer and the Nissan Ariya. Somehow I don't like the "perhaps more technically advanced" Hyundai, KIA, Tesla and co., nor the VW ID series. And so I am really grateful for the detailed and logical explanation of what you noticed. Because you usually notice it when you have already bought the vehicle and can no longer return it. What you have described are small things that are not small things, because they will make you regret the purchase at any moment. Thank you very much! I live in Germany and am not very good at English, so please forgive me for any spelling mistakes.

Thanks for covering. Sheetz and Electrify America is a pretty common pairing across Pennsylvania, so the comparison with Ionna will be direct traveling through to Ohio. Scranton has both now, though the EA there is in a really poor location for travel. Will have to see how well located the new Ionna spot is. Interesting to see the first charge and I hadn't thought about ChargePoint roaming, so thanks for covering that as well.

Sheetz is my go to for long roadtrips.

Yowza, your net cost was 51 cents/kWh. The gasoline equivalent is about 45 cents/kWh. I love Ionna, and I'm glad they're there, but I'll use only in an emergency.

I totally agree with you on the software updates. Nissan is falling behind the curve. We lease 3 EV's (LEAF, Ariya, EV6) and the Ariya has the best fit and finish by far.

In small towns in the upper midwest, the dealership charger is often your best bet for DCFC even if it is not faster that 200Kwh. If you are getting 150Kwh or even 90kwh that is still plenty good enough as long as their price is reasonable.

The Nissan app is basically worthless.

Best review from an owner about the Arya I have seen. I was looking to buy a used Arya but I will stick to a used Tesla instead
