Origin Flowers
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 ส.ค. 2022
Welcome to the Origin Flower Farm TH-cam channel! I'm Victoria, a flower farmer and floral designer in Northern Ireland. My design style is 'wild and romantic', with all our flowers being grown organically and sustainabily.
I am excited to share my journey with everyone on TH-cam. I really want to connect with all of you who love flowers and flower growing, whether on a farm, or in your garden - so jump into the comments and share your own journey or ask me some questions!
We run workshops, style events and design beautiful wedding flowers throughout the year. Our workshops are as relaxing as they are informative and we love creating space for wellness and retreat.
Our weddings are wild and romantic with all the seasonal pickings that lend themselves to beautiful displays. We sell flower bouquets from March until October. Our seasonal bouquets are eco friendly and harvested straight from our fields. We also host private parties, hen parties and birthday parties.

Dahlia Tour - Flower Field Walk Around - August 2024
In my last video I highlighted my Top 10 Dahlias, but I thought it might be helpful to do a walk around the Dahlia field to chat about all the varieties I'm growing this year.
As always, drop me a comment and let me know your thoughts - what's your favourite? What are you growing? What should I try and add in next year?

Hola linda dalia saludos desde Cusco Perú ❤
Great silence ❤
It is not creme de cassis - maybe profundo?
Dear Victoria, I really enjoyed the introduction to your top ten dahlias for 2023. I appreciated that you printed the names of each. Your descriptions were excellent. Finally, I appreciated that there was no music during your talk. Very nicely produced. Sincerely, Larry Clarence Lewis London, Ontario, Canada.
Beautiful. So many that I would like to put on my want list.
Hi nice dahlias..wouldn't be ok if I can buy some seeds formed in ur dahlia plots I'm a tropical farmer in the Philippines and I gres dahlias too! Is it possible u can send seeds any seeds will do I can save money to send to u via western union please!!
What a beautiful dahlia garden! At 17:45 (background of Mershmellow Baby), do you know the name of that dahlia? Thank you.
Hey! Is it the pink and white one? It’s ’strawberry cream’ xx
Wow. +1 from ur new friend.
Wow so beautiful.

Nice and beautiful. Thank you for sharing ❤ 🌺
Thank you for watching!
hello what a beautiful field! Your unknown at 16mins could be Isabel (more purple) its very similar to Caitlin's Joy (more pink) both are sports of cornel (a red ball)
Thank you for the info! Love learning all about dahlias ❤️
I am loving your videos 🤩 only just discovered your channel and I am so happy with the information and timing of planting and just little tips and shared experience ❤ thank you! ❤ keep them coming, especially over winter month when some hope into the next season is sooo needed and appreciated.
Thank you so much! I think winter videos is a great idea. It can be tough waiting for the flowery months!
Love dahlias what a great display
Love them too!
So lovely 😍
Thanks 🤗
Love your videos about Dahlia’s. How many dahlias do you grow? Also wondering why you interact the dahlias rather than growing one variety altogether??
Thank you for watching! I grow around 1000 dahlias. I spread them out as I start potting up each variety at different weeks so that when the earlier ones start to get tired the later ones are still strong!
I would love to see more of your videos on your actual work you do with the flowers.
Just a lovely field of Dahlias! Amazing 🤩 ❤
We agree!
Oooohh this is a fabulous but very dangerous video! 😂😂😂 So many gorgeous ones, I'll have to rewatch and take notes.
It’s addictive 😂
Gorgeous flowers 💐 Like 114 My friend thank you for good sharing. Have a good relationship
Thanks for sharing. 💕
Thanks for watching!
Nice to see you again. Fostering is a wonderful thing to do. Here on the Sussex coast, it basically rained from October to April (left in my dahlias, most rotted), Half of my allotment flooded, then we had a cold, dry spring which went on till mid June. Things were therefore planted late, and then we have had slug and snail apocalypse. I planted a bed of snaps in March and they have been fantastic. So not a great growing year but getting ready to get ahead with hardy annuals. xx
The weather been a struggle! And we are now having constant rain. Hardy annuals here we go! Absolutely love snaps, the scent & the colours. Such a joy in the garden ❤️
Oh, I love this. Best bouquet of the first 50!!! And wow… I‘m impressed that you are keeping up with the videos! I wouldn‘t be able to do so. 👍
Nice garden!!! 🪷
Better pictures of the perennials would have been nice
I'm sitting here watching all your back shows the first time I found you on the phone and it's March of 2024 right now for me so I'm waiting for my plants at all we've had a few nice days but not playing a few things but yeah I'm the one with the 30 gardens at memorial Park in New Kensington PA and I enjoy it I've been I've been doing it for 20 years out there so okay talk to you later and watching your show okay bye
I think that's the first time I've seen your show yeah I love watching all these flower farms I'm from Pennsylvania and I have 30 gardens at memorial Park in New Kensington PA and I just love it I've been doing it for 20 years out there I do a few bouquets for people just to come out and see and I do fairy gardens and I get community service kids out there to help and and girl scouts boy scouts in the valley high School kids come out to so yeah it's fun I just really enjoy it my phone keeps going off so sorry about that nice watching your show so thank you okay bye
All that camera action has made me sick to my belly…gorgeous dahlias though! 😀
Well, our hero got at least 1 right 😜 Happy St. Patrick's Day from USA zone 8a!🍀
Beautiful, I have just gotten in to dahlia’s. So thankful I do not have to dig up every year. I can winter over in the ground. I have a tiny cottage with a small garden and I have more flower beds then lawn. Thank you for your beautiful inspiration.
Aw that sounds lovely! They are a fabulous flower. Happy growing!
Class x
Love seeing behind the scenes as well as the lovely wreathes! So much thought and preparation into each workshop. Thank you and keep going!!! ❤
Thank you! It's a lot of work and a lot of fun!
Gorgeous! Such a fun atmosphere!
It really was. Thank you for watching!

Thank you! & Hope you face a fabulous Christmas too ❤️
Hi, Where are you located? Best, Albert
Hi Albert, the North Coast of Ireland
Thank you for sharing your info with me! Ireland is a beautiful country; hope we can visit it some day. Best, Albert, SF, USA
Thank you so much. I’m going to buy more hedging ❤
Thank you for watching. The more hedging the better!
So pretty
Dahlias are so beautiful x
Lilac Perfection is one of my favorites!
Amazing! 💕
Hey, when talking about #5 Jowey Nicky, in the video you have that super purple dahlia in the background with dark stems. What’s the name of that one , please?
Hi ☺️ it's 'Marcel Dassault' such a pretty dahlia
I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve been enjoying your videos. Forgive me if you’ve answered any of these questions in previous videos, but what size are your poly tunnels and what zone are you in? Thank you!
Oh thank you for watching! The polytunnel are different sizes. Two of them are 16ft x 60ft, one is 16x 54, and the one we use for events is 24ft x 48ft. I am in zone 8/9 😊
I'm in zone 9b (Florida) and ordered ranunculus. We'll see how they do in my climate. I find snapdragons and strawflowers do well here so that's my go during the cooler months.
Ooh fab! Does it get cold with you? I've been to Florida once, absolutely beautiful and very hot! 🤣
@@OriginFlowersNI yes, very hot and humid. This year was one of the hottest ones I've experienced. It can get cold for a few days in January or February but it's relative. What your body reacts to is the drop in temperature. During winter months one day can be in the 30's and the next day in low teens so the change in temperature is what makes it feel cold where as if it was further up north the lower temp wouldn't be a bid deal.
It would be really helpful if the video had written names of these flowers, as I don't quite catch some of their names
Will do for next time ☺️
And/or photos for reference.
Here you go.... Larkspur - Misty Lavender (from Chiltern Seeds) Ammi Clarkia (from higgledy gardens) Corn Cockles Sweet Rocket (latin name: hespersis) Baby's Breath - annual Chrysanthemums (smaller daisy look) Sweet Pea Stock (yellow, avalanche, apple blossom) Verbascum (perennial) Japanese anemonies (perennial) Snapdragons (giant ones, butterfly mix) Yarrow (Latin: achillea) Calendula (sherbert fizz, creme cognac) Ranunculus (size 5-7, Cloni Success Hanoi, rose colored, pastel, champagne, clementine-orange) Tulips Sweet William
I absolutely love ranunculus, they are a staple in my cut flower beds. In fact, I think I will be bumping my stock from 100 to 400 for the 2024 season. I don't start mine until Feb. 1st-ish.
Amazing, prettiest flower ever!
@@OriginFlowersNI Sorry, can't agree, nothing beats a dahlia! They are my hero flower.
Yes, bit obsessed with dahlias too 🤣
I have 5 bags of bulbs an croms..
Wow, will look incredible 😍
