Killer tune!

They played at the Swain School of Design in the early 80's. I was thrashing away with the bales of hay and teal cow shit. Then they started a song "Little Compton Sucks In The Autumn" i both loved and hated it because I grew up poor in Little Compton!

The writer of this song and band member was Jr. Wilson. I saw The Movies at a bar near Annapolis back in the mid - or late 80's. Fast forward to 2016. I was referred to Mr. Wilson through a business in Delaware for a guitar repair. On the wall of his business was a 45 of this song. It was then that I realized that it was his group that I had seen in Annapolis in the 80's. I remembered some of the lyrics of this song and recited them, which he couldn't believe. We talked a bit, as he fixed my guitar.

What a waste of space that band was....

Remember hearing this on something like John Peel - instantly loved it, and ordered it at my local record shop next day. Spent fruitless months waiting for it. It never appeared. Some years later 'The secret life of the Waterboys' was released, and having bought it, was stunned to find Funhouse became the Waterboys and this song was on that collection. Well pleased.

Have you got the others? The title track, "South Sea Shuffle", "Alone in My Home", "The Last Tango", Dusk to Dusk" and "Underhand".

There should've been 2 versions on the album and "Heart of Darkness" being a lot shorter. This being called either "Hit It" or "Hit It I" and the fast version/time lapse "Hit It II" (not including the sound effects).
