Building a Custom Chicken Coop (for my blind hen) DIY HOW TO
Join me on a journey of compassion and creativity as I construct a special chicken coop for my beloved feathered friend, Sarah Connor. Despite being blind, Sarah has captured our hearts with her resilience and spirit, and it's time she had a coop tailored just for her unique needs.
Not only is this project about building a functional coop, but it's also a testament to the bond we share with our animal companions.

I'm a machinist and woodworker, and I am very surprised to hear this was your first project with hand tools. Amazing! Very inspiring!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice work! Keep challenging yourself. You rise to the occasion.
Thank you so much - this is wise advice for all!
I am now waiting on part 2, you have a another subscriber.
Thank you so much! Part 2 might not come for a while, as life has gotten in the way, but it will come eventually.
For some reason my previous comment got removed. All I said was that I really enjoyed this and it was inspiring for me as Im just starting out. Maybe something I said made it get auto filtered out
It must have happened automatically because I didn’t delete it - or if I did it was an accident! Thanks so much, I’m glad it could spark a fire in your creativity!
What an amazing job! Especially for your first video!!!
Thanks so much friend!

Just subscribed you did an amazing job.
Thank you!
That's gorgeous. You're smart and intelligent. I'm into muzzleloaders and flintlock, I was thinking about doing my own wood stocks custom. You would make a good wife if not already. I would love to do woodworking with you I always enjoyed working with wood and metal. Do you have any ideas on a nice flintlock muzzleloader stock. I have ideas and drawings but don't know if I like them. Lol. Please keep the videos coming besides I love your voice I could listen to you talk forever lol.
Haha thanks Robert! I am in fact married to a very lucky man 😉 my videos will be on hold for a while as life has gotten in the way, but I do plan to return.
What song did you use for the final product showcase? Great video!
Star of the county down is the song right before that - not sure if you mean that one? The one that is actually playing during the final product shot, unfortunately I don’t remember. It’s from a stock music site.
It great I would be to scared to ruin that beautiful wood
I was too!
👍👍👍👍
Out-fricken-standing! I am blown away by the talent you have. I HOPE that the engraving lines aren’t quite straight; that would let me know that it was done by hand and not by machine-far more valuable to me.
Thanks so much! I didn’t think of it that way but you’re right!
You should be doing stockmaking for your full-time job. I'd definitely have you make some for me. ! You did awesome
@@timothyjohnson3922 thanks so much! Though If it was a job I probably wouldn’t enjoy it anymore 😅
What a cailin lads, well done 😁 ya have the right mindet, throw caution to the wind and jus give it a crack 😁🤙
Thanks for watching friend! Cheers 🍻
Your a keeper, great job!
Thanks for watching!
Complete beginner? Wow! I think you did great. Your proof , of course, is in the final sound, bjt your bread and butter here is your research on tecniques and specs. Totally good job. I will be happy to watch your subsequent videos.
Beginner at violinmaking but not woodworking! Thank you so much for the kind words. Life has gotten in the way so I haven’t completed part 2, but I will.
Thank you for being kind enough to teach us a glue secret. That's very good information.
May I ask which particular tidbit you found useful about the glue?

I don’t take commissions but thank you!
Looks so easy but it’s not. Believe me I tried
Thanks for the kind words Alex!
Thank you for this video. I am going to do the same on my Remington 11 16ga. Cant wait.
You’re welcome! Good luck 🍀
Err, coming at this video in Dec 24. No part 2?
@@MrBuyerman alas, life has gotten in the way 😅 but hopefully the next part will be up soon.
If you like woodworking just look for WoodPrix instructions
Great video! Looking to make a stock for an air gun I found while working, stock is broken so I’m hoping I can turn it into something to pass down since I’ve no heirlooms. Video is a great insight, thank you for making this! The addition of Star of the County Down is also appreciated, a favourite song of mine!
That’s a great idea! Cheers🍻
Great job I have a citori trap gun my son loves but he is left handed I have been for years wanting to make him a stock for it but can't work up the courage to try but you may have given me that thanks from SC USA
Give it a try! What’s the worst that can happen? 🙏
Mais um inscrito no canal!! Brasil 🇧🇷
Thank you!
You should do this again!
Someday! When a 6 month old isn’t stealing all my time 😅
Amazing... Great job.
Thanks Michael!

Hi Jan ❤

@ Thank you!
Fantastic work and beautifully executed! I have decided to make a stock for my 308 rifle. You made this look fun!
Thanks for watching! I did have a lot of fun with it, and was always thrilled and mildly in disbelief when I successfully completed each step! Haha
@KelleyMakes The only way to fail is to fail to try. 😉🙂
Excellent!
awesome job cant wait to see what's next
Thanks david!
Kelley, super project and super inspiring. I’m a 57yo dad/amateur wood/project maker. I Just ordered the same eBay template kit and 3 kits from Carpathian tonewoods. I have a niece that plays quite well. 10 years from now I hope to surprise her. 😂 I am anxiously awaiting your next video. Any information/instructional books you can recommend would be greatly appreciated.
Congrats for taking the plunge! I won’t lie; the carving of the front and back plate is a b$&tch! I have a soon to be 6 month old son so I haven’t had any time at all recently to devote to my projects, so it may be a while, but I WILL post part 2 eventually! I’m convinced that the sides are the easiest part of this build 🤯🤣
Check out the book The Art of Violinmaking. It will be everything you need to
@@KelleyMakes thanks! Found it much less expensive from Abebooks than Amazon.
@@KelleyMakes oh and congratulations on your new arrival, mine is turning 29yo soon. Much less effort now. 🤣
awesome Kelley! thanks for this--- I am currently preparing for Cello making, so this is very useful for me :-) all the best from Austria!
You’re welcome! Let me know how the cello turns out!
Красивая девушка, с красивым голосом и руки из правильного места растут. Отличная работа, сочетание металла и благородного дерева в оружии это классика. Да и мастерская у вас хорошо оборудована. Удачи и творческих успехов.
Thanks for watching!
Great
That’s some skillfully beautiful work 👍
