Hello, next week I'd like to come to St Aloysius church in honor of Monsignor Mcandrews, his birthday is Wednesday, February 21. His first parish was Saint Mark's church in Inkerman where I was raised, it was him who Baptized me, gave me my first Holy Communion and Confirmation. He was an immense and beautiful influence on my life inspiring my volunteering spirit and I believe made me the person I am today. Thankfully, I visited him in December 2019 to reconnect, at the time he was 90 years old, he said he remembered me, i believe it was vague, though, understandably. However, he definitely remembered my grandparents talking about where they lived and what they did for a living. Along with his mild sense of humor, he still was the beautiful and kind man I remember at Sunday masses when I was a kid. After his many Catholic assignments, I remember him being priest at St Aloysius, I've never been to the church, but I want to go in his honor to remember him since St Mark's church is no longer standing and St Aloysius was a major part of his mission. Will anyone recommend whether I could join the mass on Wednesday the 21st, his birthday and speak with anyone who remembers him? I miss him so dearly. I did talk to him on or around his 91st birthday by phone and last spoke to him by phone again because COVID had the center where he lived closed to visitors. Thank you in advance.
