Well... hello there!
Immerse yourself into the enchanting world of needlecraft, where whimsy pirouettes alongside a touch of mysterious Victorian allure, and vintage charm waltzes with an elegant grace.
Envision this: as we explore together, our needles and thread become our skeleton key, unlocking a wardrobe that proudly stretches across the fabric of time. My dream wardrobe would be a mix of my fav bygone eras, where the iconic styles of the 1950s and the late 1890s gracefully intertwine, all with a dash of contemporary pizzazz to keep things delightfully unpredictable.
Our adventure doesn't end there! As we stitch and swirl through the ages, we'll craft not only timeless pieces for the grown-ups but also for the little ones. After all, why should the adults have all the sewing fun when we can sprinkle a bit of vintage pixie dust on the mini wardrobes too?

I love that idea
The 5 Princess Dresses which are of your highest priority whenever you go to Disney or a Princess Party. Elsa > Anna > Rapunzel > Aurora > Asha
That’s a great list of Princess dresses to have! It can be hard to pick just a few, they’re all so pretty.
Rapunzel Aurora Elsa Merida Jasmine Do you have any of these 5 Dresses?
We have the 2 Anna dresses and Princess Elena dress. It’s getting about that time to make an Elsa and Aurora dress for my girls.
@@Monica_RheaAlso is the Princess Dress of at least 1 of your Girls a Light-Up Dress?
@@markheying2830 Actually no, they sound pretty cool though. Do you have any recommendations?

I’m a fashion student currently and this helps tremendously! Thank you and God bless :)
I'm so glad to hear it! I wish you all the best in school 😊
Love this guide! Thank you.
Thank you😁 I’m happy you enjoyed it!
Whaaa! I never knew!
Great info thanks!
How does the oil mix with the water
Yes won’t oil go on fabric?
Good morning, you don't explain how you cut the style chearly.
Thanks for the tutorial! I just bought this pattern and can’t wait to make!
Q: Will adding Essential Oils not stain the fabrics?
Essential oils can stain fabrics, however in this case it’s heavily diluted. But you could always do a spot test just to be 100% sure. Also, using light colored or clear essential oils makes staining even more unlikely.
This is the best guide I’ve found but unfortunately I am so confused with the suspenders and how to do them properly. I’m struggling to understand the instructions and the video doesn’t explain it properly. Is there any chance you can make a video explaining with more detail?
Yeah I can do that.
Yes please I’m already overwhelmed 😅 trying to make this for a birthday gift there’s a skirt part too can you include that I didn’t see the skirt I think it can detach?
@@carlaricardo5457 Alrighty, I'll add it in the video😊I'm currently in the process of editing it, so there's still a bit of wiggle room.
Ah, I've never thought about that! Thank you
You’re most welcome ☺️
Very nice video I'll save it .❤ this is the most understood video about sewing. 😊
Thank you! I'm so delighted that you found it helpful 🥰
Thank you, very helpful!
Awesome 😁
Very informative and well made video! Just starting to sew and it seems so difficult, but I'll try my best, thank you!❤
Yes, be patient with yourself. I’m happy to help 😁 You got this!
@@Monica_Rhea Thanks🥰
educational video, really like it!
Thank you 😊
Gorgeous design! Very elegant and festive ❤🎉😮
Why thank you soo much 🥰
Lovely.
Nice! Love eucalyptus oil! Love lemon oil too. Great combination 😊
Yes, lemon is so refreshing!
This video helped me figure out the waistband even though it would have been nice to focus on the assembly of that a bit more. But it was helpful. Super cute outfit
I’m happy it helped! Thank you for watching 😁
I did the suspender on the first side successfully. Now, I am trying to do the other side and am confused. Do you do it exactly like the first time and it will turn out the correct way when you turn the suspender inside out or do you have to do the opposite from the first step of the suspenders? I'm not sure if that made sense, but I did my second suspender and something is not right I think I did the ruffle on the opposite side so now it is not between the two suspender pieces.
Technically they’re opposite, but put together in the same way. If anything you can use a seam ripper to correct the second suspender.
Can you elaborate because I am so lost with the second suspender? Does the ruffle need to be on the opposite side? I made both suspenders the same
The suspenders do need to be like, mirror opposite. Otherwise one of the ruffles will be backwards.
I'm confused on the ruffle part of the pattern. It says to gather the side with the notch, but the notch is the curved side. I thought you narrow hem the curved side and gather the straight side of the ruffle. I am a beginner.
So you're right lol I just looked at the pattern and the notch is on the wrong side (the curved side) I didn't even notice that. You can transfer the notch to the straight side and continue to do a narrow hem on the curved side, then gather the straight side.
@@Monica_Rhea thank you!
Your dress is adorable! I just purchased this pattern so it was nice to see you putting it together and modeling it. Thank you
Thank you so much and no problem! Good luck on sewing yours 😊
Where can I get the pattern from?
I got it from either Joann’s or Hobby Lobby.
Wish I knew how to sew! I really want to make that shirt. Looks so cute, great job!
Thank you! It takes some patience lol but definitely doable.
Hello, I'm a beginner at garment sewing. I have a stockpile of vintage patterns but I'm too nervous to start with a true vintage pattern. Would you recommend this pattern for a beginner? I don't expect it to be a breeze, but I also don't want this dress to be impossible to make. I understand that you're constantly learning while sewing. I love how your dress turned out, very flattering! You made the exact view I plan on hopefully making.
Hey! Thank you so much. I would recommend trying this pattern out, as a beginner just take your time. I’m sure you’ll do great. This pattern is easily one of my favorites! As for your vintage patterns, whenever you’re ready you could use a tracing wheel or another tracing method so you don’t have to cut into them. Which may be better since a lot of vintage patterns are sized quite differently from modern patterns.
Is this pattern true to size or do I need to go up a size .
This one is true to size and very flattering when made with a no stretch fabric. It would fit really nice with a stretchy fabric like the ponte knit but I would recommend sizing down a couple sizes.
You are a natural Monica...love your videos❤
Thank you!!! 😁 I’m happy you enjoy them!
Yes, I've outgrown my sewing space...please help!

No problem, Alyssa. Thank you for watching 😊
Hey Monica, thnak you so much for sharing these tips
No problem, thank you for watching!
Just made this with your help and for my very first thing to make it came out perfect!!
Omg! That’s awesome, I’m so happy for you. Keep sewing 😁
What a wonderful fashion show!! I'll admit inserting zippers in garments can be a bit of a challenge. Thing is, we learn to stick with a challenge and master it or we move on. Why? Much like you, I wear my garments and mistakes with a smile, especially when it's not that noticeable. I always say I'll improve that step in my next garment. For me, remembering to stitch down each side of the zipper in the same direction and cap off the bottom last was a step I faced in some of my past garments so I'm guilty of avoiding zippers. Again, I just love your work Monica, thanks again for sharing!
Yes! Learning how to put zippers in properly was a little challenging. I’m the opposite lol buttons made me nervous. But like you said every garment gets better and better as we improve our skills 😁
Five stars!!
Oh my, the rompers look fabulous!! Your girls are really beautiful models at play, lol. As usual, you did another fantastic job, Monica!
Thank you! They enjoyed wearing them lol
Wow, this pajama set looks amazing on you! I agree silks, chiffons and even some rayon types can be difficult fabrics to work with because they are slippery. Even when I using a walking foot, a finer point needle, paper as a stabilizer and reduce the stitch length, I still get a pucker in the fabric here and there when using light-weight fabric so French seams work well. Keep up the good work, Monica!
Hey! Thank you! Omg I completely forgot about using a walking foot 🤦🏾♀️... next time lol I did reduce the stitch length though. I appreciate your feedback.
Hi, Monica! Your wrap dress turned out beautiful!! That's what I like about sewing, I can add my own touch here or there to create what's me. I can tell you have great sewing skills to share as you drafted the pocket and attached it! I have been sewing for over 45 years and I will say you did really well with your first wrap dress! I can tell you're proud of yourself and you should be. I don't have McCall's 8036 pattern in my wrap dress stash yet so I plan to grab it as the chance comes- TFS!
Hi! Thank you so much, that means a lot. I’m a bit of a newbie with sewing lol it’s been officially 1 year. 😁 I agree though, the options are endless with sewing. There’s always something new to learn. I’m happy you enjoyed the video. You should definitely try that pattern out 😊
Thank u soo much for sharing. This was my first real pattern I followed and I'm proud of that
That’s awesome! Did you sew the little shirt portion as well or leave it as a romper?
Hello Monica, great video, for the franch seems, do you add extra inches how do you do it?
Hello, Sane! I don’t add extra inches, instead I just make the first set of stitches pretty close to the edge of the fabric. Then I press the fabric before sewing the second set of stitches.
So cute. Thanks
Thank you 😊
Fine top pls make proper illustration on the cutting it seems u re too fast
Thank you! Yes, I’ll slow down a bit in future videos and add more detail 😊 I appreciate your feedback.
You can slow down a playback speed on TH-cam if its too fast for you. I like the speed.😉
Thank you for watching and sharing that bit of info, Laura. That was very helpful 😊
I love the 2piece, black and white skirt and shirt🤗
