Hi, ich habe tatsächlich eine Petra aus den 90ern. Und gerade habe ich gelernt, wie ich endlich das Bein reparieren kann. Dann bekommt sie meine Tochter. Ich fand die Petra im Gesicht tatsächlich immer hübscher als die Barbie und bin jetzt echt froh, dass ich meiner Mutter nicht nachgegeben habe und die Barbie nicht weggeworfen habe. Jetzt muss ich nur noch den Riss im Knie irgendwie reparieren dann ist sie fast wieder wie neu :) Danke

I was about 7 or 8 when this released. I, too, did not have this during my childhood, but I would trade every toy I ever wanted and every toy I owned just to have this. I honestly believe it would’ve changed my life. And now, it explains why I am the way I am now, in my 30s, learning how to sew clothes-both Barbie-sized and human-sized, LOL.

That's so amazing! I inherited one after my great aunt passed (she was a doll collector but only had a few Barbies) so I grew up with this doll. I was always so blown away by the details on her outfit & how silky her hair is! Looked very out of place with my early 2000's movie Barbies but I treasured her nonetheless.

Just found my barbies tucked away in the basement from 1960 and they are stinky and musty. We can't use them as they are so we're just going ahead and soaking them in warm water with some vinegar and a little bit of Dawn dishwashing detergent. I hope it works!

One thing I noticed is that when they re-introduced Midge and Alan, they spelled his name with one L. In the 1960s, his name was spelled Allan. Kind of interesting that he’s not a redhead anymore either. I always thought he and Midge were siblings. If you look at the children in this set you’ll notice flower girl is named Kelly. She would become Stacie. And Todd kept his name. I’m wondering if this is the first time those two appeared.

Hi Busy B, Please do follow through with this project! I think it would be very helpful for many Francie and Barbie doll fans. I have this doll as well, and would love to know how it works as I can't get the hair to retract into the doll's head. I suspect I will need to repair the mechanism, but I only have one doll to work on, so I really don't want to rip it open if I can avoid that. So far, I can't find any videos showing or explaining the growing hair mechanism. Thanks for your videos!! 😊🙏
