Hello, welcome to our slow living silent vlogs channel.
We are an Argentine girl (me) and a Catalan boy (Mr L) and their three kitties (Nala, Mixeta and Kira.
We live together in a tiny but so cozy apartment in Cataluña.

Slow living Christmas vlog | Silent vlog in Spain | How I practice gratitude
Hello! I bring you a new silent Christmas vlog about our slow life in Spain. I would like to talk to you about how I practice gratitude, so to complement the vlog I am sharing this story that made me think a lot at the time. If you know the author, please write to me in the comments.
There is a story about an old sage in China who had a horse and a son. All his neighbors felt sorry for him and always said, ‘How sad that all you have is a son and a horse. ’ The old sage always replied with the following words: ‘What is good, what is bad, who knows? ’
One day, the horse ran away. All the neighbors came to him with great compassion, saying, ‘It is terrible, your only horse ran away and now you only have your son. It is terrible! ’ As always, the old sage shrugged his shoulders and said, ‘What is good, what is bad, who knows? ’
A week passed and the horse returned, and with it came twelve beautiful wild horses. The neighbors were very excited and ran to the old man proclaiming their good fortune, ‘It is so wonderful, you now have many possessions. ’ The old sage replied once again with a shrug with the usual words, ‘What is good, what is bad, who knows? ’
The wise old man told his son to start training the wild horses so that they could be useful to him. One day, the son was riding a particularly wild horse, fell off and broke both his legs. When the neighbours heard about it, they were filled with pity and said, ‘What a horrible thing happened to your only son. ’ The wise old man shrugged his shoulders again and said, ‘What is good, what is bad, who knows? ’
A short time later, some horsemen from a nearby village came looking for all the able-bodied men to go to war and to help protect their village from the band of robbers who were roaming around. So all the men from the nearby village went to help the war except the wise old man’s son, who had to stay at home because his two broken legs had not yet healed. All the young men who went to war died but the wise old man’s son lived for many years.

I really like this story because it predisposes us to feel gratitude for everything that happens to us in life and to accept with more patience and love the seemingly bad things that may happen to us. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and I hope you enjoyed this vlog.
