A day at the Zoo - A-Z - Quiet Walks (179)

I started the ‘A-Z’ - Quiet walks back in March 2024, the idea being to visit various
places of interest from ‘A to Z’. so we have now arrived at ‘Z’ for Zoo, its been very enjoyable to find, visit and share these places.
I plan to repeat the exercise next year as I found it to be challenging and rewarding at the same time.
Haven't been to a Zoo for many years and was surprised at the number of visitors and the logistics required to make it a rewarding experience, whether we should cage animals is another matter!

This hidden gem is located in one Birmingham busiest area’s namely the Yew Tree. St.Edburgha’s church also know as Yardley Old Church is much favoured for weddings and the adjacent garden area provides a delightful private space for photos. To find a location begining with ‘X’ is not easy in the UK, so checking all possibilities, I found that a beautiful garden plant called Cosmos is known as Xanthos. So a trip to a favoured Winterbourne House and Gardens was a must, sure enough Xanthos in abundance! Result! On a tour of Portugal we visited Taylor’s Port in Porto. Located a short drive from the bustling town of Porto on the left bank. This was a sophisticated experience, inspecting the Port cellars, tasting and relaxing in the restaurant / gardens, as I do like a glass of port with my cheese.
