The 70's was the creepiest decade, I am endlessly fascinated and unsettled by the sheer dreariness; the decade was steeped in darkness and populated by wayward people. It was the time of weirdos and derelicts, all kinds of unsavory delinquents. The scariest movies is from that decade, it was pervaded by a malevolent force. The 60's was bad but the 70's was like Peter Fonda, just bad mellow hippie stoned out melancholy vibes.

I remember this billboard back in 1993. I had recently moved to Quay Dock Road in Winter Beach. I was 12 then, young, and curious of my new home. I remember the Orange Groves, The Banana Tree's at the curve of QDR, the smell of the Blossom's on cloudless, sunny warm day with that cool breeze around early March. It made one feel good to be alive. What I would do to have some photos or video of QDR back then. All I have now is memories. At least they can't take those away.
