That's why it should be quadruple tracked, two for Tung Chung line, and two for Airport Express!
@@philou1467 It is doubtful to quad track the rail corridor to Tung Chung in my opinion. It is not cost-effective nor feasible in the long run. A better solution will be improving the signalling system, so AEL trains get higher priority than TCL trains instead of the current situation, where they share the same level of priority, which has caused failed overtakes at Sunny Bay station.

Ik why the GTO sounds change to IGBT sounds is because the 466 unit on the front is using Met-cam motors whereas the 465 unit in the middle of the consist has Hitachi motors which have different motor sounds.
