Sekar Pachai defends his title in the 4 km Technical Race. The course was challenging & saw lots of drama between competing athletes.
Sekar successfully defended his title with a timing of 21:08.48 mins in the 4km technical race at the Palkbay SUP Challenge. Fellow Tamil Nadu stand-up paddlers Manikandan M and Santhosan secured second and third place with the timings of 22:10.07 mins and 24:44.48 mins, respectively, completing a clean sweep for the hosts.

Over record 120 stand-up paddlers from across the country are participating in the two day event which is being hosted under the aegis of Surfing Federation of India - the governing body for the sport of surfing & Stand-Up Paddling in India. The championship is supported by the Tamil Nadu Surfing Association, affiliated with the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), while QTT Adventure Sports Academy (Quest Academy) is the organising authority of the championship.
Palkbay SUP Challenge 2024 was live-streamed on the official website, ensuring an exciting experience for audiences worldwide. While the National Championship can be tracked on liveheats where athletes from all over the world were able to follow the progression of their favourite athletes through their races.
