This is a video of the current 3 bells ringing in the tower of St Mary the Virgin, Ovingham.

Are the three still ringable?
Just about but we need to do work on the frame and wheels. The new 8 are rung every week now.

The Treble sounds crap!

Ah well it can sort of be forgiven; medieval bells often aren't as good sounding
video seems to be out of sync with the sound. At the end it sounds like the bells are being rung down but are still up! And only two bells are being rung rather than all 3.
Not sure what the bells are made of. The treble was cast sometime in the 16th century so it is unlikely to be steel.
Hope you had a fantastic time at Swifts Junior Football Club, Jubilee Park, High St, Ingoldmells. Hopefully see you all again next year
