I changed the gold because it originally had like 3 shades of brown and 2 or 3 shades of yellow and gold. It just did not look right for an up close sprite. So stuff like that I try then change as needed lol Thanks! I am excited to have the full collection, final piece of the puzzle will be finding a good display method for them! 😆

The broad term for these beads are melty beads (along with some other names) but two of the main brands are Perler and Artkal. Each brand has different colors and melt differently but Perler and Artkal works well together so gives me more color options to combine 😁

Color matching is half the fun for me a lot of times, especially since the beads give you a limited palette! Also if I am going to do a tutorial for something I'd like to give the best possible options and some substitutions 🙂

I almost got one of those but I decided on these because I like to keep a lot of beads on hand! The containers I use store 3,000 beads give or take and I have bigger ones that store 6,000 that I use for my black and white and greys. From there I have these 18 inche shelves that hold 12 of the containers per shelf so it holds all the Perler brand colors! I do have a similar drawer tower to what you're talking about that is the akro-mils brand and I use it for all my mini beads. The harbor freight ones are a lot cheaper though and seem the exact same so I am gonna have to get those for more mini bead storage soon, thanks for the tip 😁

@@ProcessingPixels oh yeah. I dont go thru that many 5mm beads. I love my minis tho. But still i only do small projects so I dont keep alot on hand. I love the towers....something about small drawers for me lol

Storage really does depend on your projects. I do small to medium projects usually but I get random concepts in my head and just wanna make it so when I don't have the right colors/out of a color it's sad lol I really enjoy the look of the drawers as well, I have mine roughly organized by color and shade on each row and they hold plenty of mini beads!

I don't personally feel comfortable making a public video of creating a sprite of his Minecraft skin or something because I would want it to be as respectful as possible but I am not sure how to do that in this context. Even if it possibly provided comfort to some of his fans, I don't think I'm the person to do that and it would feel like capitalizing on his passing to me. I hope you can understand where I'm coming from!

My goal with these types of videos is to make it easy for anyone! This is a pretty small project, and the hardest part is the ironing I would say. I have faith if you sat down with some beads you could make this even if it took a couple tries 😄
