Maple Martini for Christmas
มุมมอง 2563 ปีที่แล้ว
Maple and Vermont are synonymous. And what better way share some Vermont holiday cheer than with a Maple Martini. In a mixing glass of ice, add in 2 ounces of Vermont Gold Vodka (or your favorite premium vodka). Add in about 1/2 ounce of Saxton River Sapling Maple Liqueur. Shake to chill. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and finish with a couple of dashes of cinnamon!

Amazing that this is from 13 years ago and they just revised the guidelines to let women know about dense breast
Exactly, my complaint is the same as yours with Mammography even the newer 3D. It might not detect breast cancer tumors in women especially those with dense breast tissue. Then it becomes seriously larger in size and becomes more invasive. We need consistent dependable early breast cancer detection. Also, Lobular Carcinoma can be one of the toughest ones to detect. It doesn't form a hard lump. Koning Breast CT is the most advanced scanner on the market today. There are other companies too Izotropic Corporation out of Canada that utilizes the research of Dr. John Boone UC Davis and AB CT from Germany. All three of these companies have scanners that are pain-free, without compression, and are true 360 Degree scans. My opinion is that we need these dedicated Breast CT Scanners for screening Breast Cancer right now.
I just took a mannogram on 7/20/24. And found out I have dense tissue on my left breastso I’m going to take another mammogram and do ultrasound on my left breast next Wednesday. I’m very scared but looking at this video gave me a lot of reinsurance. I have mammogram every year , this has never happened. I’ve never had any problems so I’m just a little nervous but I’m glad they seen it and they caught it. Thank you again for this video.
I have very dense breast tissue and will be having 2 sites biopsied tomorrow. I have a birad of 4 and 2 echostatic mass in left breast. They have partially solid with debris. Praying for the best.
QT imaging is available in California and worth the trip. Can see through density and doesn’t have radiation
I had a biopsy which confirmed breast cancer.I had a mammogram 3 days later which showed no abnormality, but the breast tissue was dense.I now have a mammogram and US and sometimes MRI.
Has been proven to be false!
Ive found out im a density at b
Was told I have very dense breast 3 of my sisters had cancer one passed from it. Thank you for sharing this important message....❤Hod bless..
I have extremely dense tissue as well and the mammogram did not detect cysts but my follow up ultrasoun did. The pain that the mammogram caused me was intense and long lasting. I believe it compressed the cysts and now 6 months later I still have pain and yet they want me to do another mammogram! No way. I am going to get an ultrasound only if I can and I am looking into getting a self pay, less expensive MRI called a "Fast Breast MRI". Studies show that this specific mri caught cancer that even the ultrasounds can overlook. Sure many false positives but I don't care. I have no problem getting a biopsy to find out. Look up the fast breast mri.
Thank you
So my question is: how do you know when to remove small tumors and when to leave them alone. Just because you have a malignancy, does not mean the malignancies are going to grow. Sometimes they shrink. So how does a person know?
Do u feel any problem if u explain in Hindi
Saw your video today. Although I do get mammogram and ultrasounds, I have heard there is a more accurate type of mammo for extremely dense breasts like mine. I'll head over to that site you mentioned. Thank you!
I have wanted to stay at this inn since the early 90’s. Uggg timing and money have prevented my coming. I just wanted to reachout and say your inn is on some peoples wish list, someday I know I will be there.
In Australia they don’t tell us our breast density
I have dense breast, so when I get a mammogram, I also get ultrasound. They found a cyst in my breast, but I’m always worried if it really is a cyst.
I need an MRI but can’t afford it and my insurance won’t cover it. How am I supposed to proactively be safe and check for cancer when I can’t afford to do so? 😢
Please don't give up. Investigate several hospitals & other imaging places. Some may offer reduced sliding scale fees, or they may have funded program offerings. Continue your local Breast Cancer associations for guidance. Please keep trying. 💕
This feels like my story as well. A random comment by the technician doing my mammogram that i had dense breast tissue so I she needed to do more slides to get good imaging. No follow on discussion and so at the end of the day, all this meant to me was more discomfort and a longer appointment. Over a decade later and my mammogram is determined to be abnormal which then started the ultrasound, biopsy, and bilateral mastectomy followed by immediate reconstructive surgery. Thankfully my lymph nodes were clear and I was given a clean bill of health all in 1 month. While I am so grateful for my outcome, I’m resentful that I wasn’t given more information regarding what dense breast tissue could mean for me as well as the fact that I was automatically offered ultrasound as a more effective manner of imaging.
I love to collect bunnies, too, Leslie. Makes me smile to see yours.
This is an excellent video! It's 2023, nine years after you posted this. I went in today for an ultrasound because my breast tissue is too dense, for a regular mammogram! Your video has really helped me. Thank you!
My very first mammogram was Aug 3rd. I, now, have to go for more scans and an ultrasound. My doctor is pretty sure I will need a biopsy as well.
Thanks for sharing this important information. My wife has just finished chemo and radiation, yet last mammogram was clear. She also has dense breasts. Ultrasound and MRI are the real keys to early diagnosis and being your own determined health advocate is vital...don't take nomforman answer...your life could be as stake.
Always research these docs unfortunately are driven by insurance kickbacks and what have you I could go on just make sure you feel comfortable with your surgeon with your pathology and understand your pathology and don't ever ever not second-guess any doctor bang on that pathologist or if you have to
I had 10 mammograms 1 Bilateral MRI with contrast and without all neg benign the only thing that showed my type of IDC was an US. 2X after a post pathology from a CNB.
I hear you I have the same issue. A week ago I found lump on my left breast so I called oncology. And yeah it doesn’t show on mammograms at all even the technician touched it and felt it on my breast. Dr said my mammogram results came normal but they ordered me ultrasound appointment for me tomorrow which it’s great and I hope that it is not cancer.. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Tanya, so glad to hear that you will be getting that ultrasound! And if needed, an MRI to get a deeper & clearer imaging. I am sending you good vibes & prayers as you explore this further.
@@rabbithillinn thank you so much 💜
I do. I also had TNBC in 2014. I had a bilateral mastectomy and my right breast I still have a mammogram ever year and my 2022 November stated very dense I just read this on “my chart”. No one called me no one has referred me for further testing. Broken system.
Thank you so much for sharing. Very informative information. 😊
I just had my mammogram and was sent the details in the mail. Luckily I have fatty tissue. My mammogram was free and done every two years since I was 40. Ultrasound & MRI are free too should I need it. Women who are in the high risk level get their mammogram done more frequently.🇦🇺
5.5 what? Mm? Cm?
I received a letter i had that and i just reading up on it
Why are women with dense breasts being forced to have mammograms, and yet not offered ultrasound or MRIs?
Right
One word....,Insurance
$$$$
@@mareenalewis4241 The insurance company SHOULD want to find it early. It costs less to treat it at stage 0 or 1, $6k compared to Stage 4 at maybe $200k +. At Stage 0 or 1 Your chances are so much better to be cured.
The reason why they say dense breasts cause cancer is that it’s hard to see tumors in a mammogram through dense tissue. Dense tissue means you have more ducts and lives than normal, but these are normal cells, just like fat cells, skin cells etc.
They don't say dense tissue CAUSES cancer....they show here that dense tissue Often HIDES cancer. Dense tissue shows up as white and cancer shows up as white. White on white.
Dense breast tissue is in fact a risk factor in and of itself. The separate issue is that it also is hard to detect cancer on dense breasts.
Here's hoping you never experience that again! I have dense tissue as well and the only way my invasive ductile tumor was found was the nipple had inverted and I found the lump very close to the surface right under the edge of the nipple. I had a lumpectomy, lost the nipple and had radiation.
I am so thankful for this information! Yes, I found out I have dense breast tissue and have a stereotactic biopsy today. I have calcium deposits behind my right nipple and a few scatterings. I am happy I am able to have it investigated.
Can u tell something more bc I also have biopsy soon about calcium deposits ? Did u do the test
Was diagnosed with fibroglandular density type b, have a follow up (ultrasound) next week...praying everything comes back negative 🙏🏼
I am happy to hear that you are receiving additional screening. I pray that all is well and that you continue with additional screening as your annual routine from this day forward. Good luck!
Everything came out negative...on the clear! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼Thanks!❤️

@@TrudyContos-gq1bw results came back negative 🙏🏼....
I consider all these "tests" and "diagnostics" dangerous ... women are exposed to being bombarded with radioactive rays; having their breasts crushed during mammograms, and all sorts of unhealthy procedures ... No thanks; breast self-exam yeah (maybe). Nothing else. Eat right; sleep enough; take your supplements; get fresh air and sunshine ... Live Clean
I live in Washington State and this year, and maybe last year on my mammogram report letter it stated that I have dense breast tissue. I'm going to check with my insurance now about whether they cover ultrasound. I know in the past when I had requested further diagnostic testing they required that a mammogram be done first, and I said its a waste of time, but had to do it anyway. The reviewing doctor came in and said "I don't see anything abnormal on your mammogram", and I said, "I know." My experience has too often been that doctors, especially male doctors don't listen and don't "believe" or respect what I know to be my experience of the body I live in. BTW, strong history of breast cancer in my family at a relatively young age, in one case leaving my grandmother orphaned as a teenager.
I wonder if this lady had the 3D mammogram?
I doubt it.
this vide is 9 years old. I don't think 3D was available at that time
Why do they just do the ultrasounds
They won’t let you do an ultra sound without doing a Mamogram first. I feel being exposed to a lot of radiation is not the best thing.
Amen! This is the first time I have ever heard anyone speak up about this vital information. Thank you!
Thank you for responding. Together, lets continue to share this important information and help many women along the way. Stay healthy, my friend.
I was in hospital at Xmas 22 and the doctor did a contrast ct chest scan and it showed dense breast tissue with something I am hoping it's my fibroadenoma and not cancer , I have mamagram 26th Jan 03 , thank you for your story I hope you continue to do well ❤
Hi Mary, thank you for sharing your story here. I pray that your test results bring good news. Be sure yo ask the level of your breast density. This is important to know as you monitor yourself in the future. You may benefit from additional screening such as ultrasound and MRI. God bless.
I pray that youll have positive 🙏 test results.
I have very dense breast tissue and I also have lots of breast cysts none of these show up on a mammogram so I have an ultrasound every year, they are now watching a shadow and a complex cyst and about to have a 6 month follow up, my mammogram was clear and didn’t show this! fingers crossed it’s all good 🤞🏼xx
How did that turn out for you? I suffer from cysts as well for some reason even though I am 55 years old.
Luckily it was benign, I now have another spot they are watching so fingers crossed that’s benign too I’m now almost 58 🤞🏼🤞🏼x
@@traceystutt3193 🤞🙏
I wish you all the best! God bless you! ❤️
Thank you Jan. 😊 God bless you as well 🙏
I do have dense tissue. I also have a mass in my left breast. They refuse to do a biopsy and they found other spots I didn't know of. I have been very sick lately. My lymph fluid seems to not be draining like it did before. They refuse to do the ultrasound on me. They refuse to take me seriously. They just push me out of the door. My issue is the doctors.
Hi Cassandra, thanks for sharing your story. I hope that you continue to push forward & seek other medical providers who will listen and help you. Don't give up. You are your best advocate!
You really need to find a different doctor! Breast cancer runs in my family and we do not have the Gene! They found a small cyst in my breast last year Christmas told me it was nothing! I told him I wanted to take it out they would not do it Six months later they do an ultrasound and say it’s the same size but irregular edges. It was -3 breast cancer if you do not like what your doctor says, find another one! One woman specialist, I went to always said if you find a lump take it out! This doctor says insurance do not want to pay for it and won’t even try asking if they would pay for it when they found it the first time! Now I have breast cancer
In 2018, I went for my annual mammogram. I was taken into a conference room afterward & told I had very dense breast tissue which significantly increased my risk of breast cancer. Thankfully, my doctors have taken the matter very seriously & been extremely proactive about my diagnostic care. I have appointments every 6 months...alternating mammogram & contrast MRI. I've only had fibroid cysts up to this point & thank God every day. I'm so glad this information about dense breast tissue is becoming more widely available. It WILL save lives!
Thank you SO much for your kind words and sharing your story! Thankfully, you have great medical care and will continue to be under a watchful eye. The is the KEY! Stay well, my friend. I wish you a wonderful 2023.
Contrast is very unhealthy for your body and despite what they tell you, takes a long time to leave and mammograms give off so much radiation. I would be careful doing these so much.
@@blsk3719 Thank you for this information! I knew mammograms held the risk of some radiation exposure but I was not aware of the danger posed by contrast. I will most certainly educate myself more on these procedures. Thanks again! All the best to you.
I was told to do tomosynthesis because of the same issue. Never done contrast MRI…
@@erayburn6354 the original poster did not write anything about the risks of contrasts… ? one has the consider the risks of breast cancer, which can be fatal.
Mammograms are not safe. They can cause cancer if you get them year after year. Ultrasound and thermography are much better.
Also, by law, radiologists are now required to tell you if you have dense breast.
Yep all of 2022...Cancer I asked for ultra sound and was refused in 2021. 10 months later stage 2 chemo radiation surgery triple negative....yay modern medicine
I never had to ask, after every mamo I received notification from the clinic that I had very dense breast.
