Grate night at the Sphere! Took me 107 shows (all the way to the last one) to catch Cumberland and we live on the Cumberland Plateau! This was so fun!

This was the first FPS I played when I bought my first PC. Q2 was brand new and when I got hooked up with SpB, I was strictly HPB. I played with a very strange setup...I used a joystick in the right hand and would shift the mouse to my left hand. Mouse look, but movement was all joystick. Joystick was a Logitech Wingman Extreme. Strafe was done with the joystick HAT and moving the stick left or right was simply turning but mouse was still my main directional control. I had drilled a hole and placed a micro pushbutton switch that was tied into the thumb button on the joystick. This allowed me to press the thumb button with my pinky while I could use my thumb up on the HAT to strafe. My left hand just pointed the mouse to where I wanted to go or shoot. I could never do this again as I eventually got used to keyboard mouse movement. When OGL went away there was really only MPlayer at the time and Q2 kind of died out when that went away, as well. I moved on to HalfLife Team Fortress Classic but never competitively. Playing in SpB was the most fun I've ever had with a group and its always been kind of a benchmark for me as far as FPS games go. Years later I moved on to the Battlefield franchise and spent a lot of time there. Now I do more survival based games that are relaxing.
