15 days?! That's the earliest I could get Tesla service to come out and replace my 12v battery after getting a notification that it needed to be serviced soon. It was too risky to wait that long so I chatted with them in the Tesla app and I was able to pick one up that same day and install it myself. Thanks for watching. Please Like & Subscribe.

Will My Diono Car Seat Fit Rear-Facing in a Tesla Model 3 | Watch Now! #tesla #model3 #carseat
มุมมอง 3.2Kปีที่แล้ว
#tesla #teslamodel3 #diono #carseat #dionocarseat www.youtube.com/@teslabear?sub_confirmation=1 Diono car seats are great, some of the best in the market, BUT does this car seat fit rear-facing inside a Tesla Model 3? This is the question I had. I'd seen so many videos for them fitting forward-facing, but I couldn't find anything about them fitting rear-facing. I got my answer and I hope this h...
that ball joint should not move like that, solid sign it should be replaced asap.
What is the warranty period ?

Awesome video! Got the notification today, my appt was 8 days out, this video helped me change it flawlessly. Thanks 🥂
Short and to the point. I like it. Just getting ready to change the original battery in my '19 Dual Motor Model 3. The tech at Tesla said I didn't need to disconnect under the seat but that if I didn't the warning might persist for a couple drives/days. I'm gonna do it this way. Thanks!
This combined with the needle grease gun adapter fixed it for me thanks!
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching.
Thanks bro, straight to the point.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching.
What happens, i took out my battery without flipping the switch in the back seat
Honestly I’m not sure. I think it’s just a safety measure to prevent anything from happening to the HV battery or or to you you buy cutting any surges to the 12v battery while you’re working on it. You can still disconnect it before installing the new battery just to be on the safe side.
I’m having trouble putting the big screw in, any advice on how to put it back in ?
I used a clamp to pull everything together. At first I tried doing it by hand but I wasn’t able to. Once I got a clamp it was easy to put everything back the way it was.
I just pulled the wheel and using a grease gun with a needle tip, punctured the front of the ball joint and pumped it full. Better to use front of ball joint as the wheel throws water up the back.
Did the squeak go away?
Yep. There are videos showing this. Don’t have to unbolt the ball joint.
@@douglasolsson7768 yea that’s the toughest part if you do it the way I did. Glad your method worked for you!
Thank u

What do you have now for 1 year old
Chicco KeyFit.
I removed the ring (this guy showed how to remove and put the ring back: th-cam.com/video/sJur1DEkxn8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YYr2mnNWIaULwgHJ), flipped the boot down, cleaned old white grease (a nasty mixed gluey stuff with dirts and water); then flipped the boot back up, and filled up the boot with new grease; put the ring back, turn the joint stick around a few times and it was good to go. No needle needed like other clips have showed.
Definitely another way to do it, especially if this method doesn’t work. Thanks for the info.
Removing the bolt like this can damage the bolt thread. I had to use a ratchet strap, wrap it to the upper arm and tie to the bottom of the strut tightly. Otherwise, once the bolt started loosening, it will be pressed against the ball joint stick on the control arm, and it is very hard to pull the bolt out.
You are absolutely right. I had to do it again (about 18 months after this first time) and although I didn’t have a ratchet strap, I used a clamp to keep everything in place. That bolt came out so easily this time. Thanks for the tip!
Many thanks
You’re welcome!
It doesn't even fit on a model X
Thanks for the vid 👍🏻

I tried this. It works. Thank you so much for sharing.
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching.
At some point the lead acid battery was replaced by a lithium pack on the passenger side under the hood.
Yes, with newer 2022 Model 3s and Model Ys they switched over to lithium-ion 12V batteries.
I didn’t get any notifications that it was low and then it just died. Screen wouldn’t turn on but I could still drive it. Doors wouldn’t close correctly though due to the windows not moving correctly. Mobile service tech came out and fixed it all for free.
Yea it’s hit or miss with the notifications. Some people don’t get any so when their car is dead, they have no idea what’s going on. You got lucky that you were able to open your doors because to my knowledge most people aren’t able to. In regards to Tesla service, yes they will come out and do it for free but that’s IF your still under warranty. I’m about 25K miles out of warranty so I had to pay.
What seat?
Rear seat on the right side. I got into a bit more detail in the full video. Here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/G17H--cExv4/w-d-xo.html

Just a temporary fix tho
True, but sure beats the $700-800 out-of-warranty cost. We’ll see how long it holds up. I’ll keep an ear out for it.
@@teslabear still holding after a month?
@@jonsterrrrr Even though I uploaded this last month, I actually shot this video in March of last year, so it’s actually been about 10-11 months now. It’s still holding up very well. No sound whatsoever, not even a little bit. Thanks for watching.
Still holding after 1 year?
Have you tried using the Diono Angler pad to get more clearance?
Yes, I looked into it but we have a newborn and the pad is only recommended for children with full head and neck control. So, that's not an option for us at the moment.
