Living together in isolation in Bourgogne, France, Solange Gularte (Isengrind) and Mehdi Ameziane (TwinSisterMoon) together form the band Natural Snow Buildings. They formed in 1997, and have never claimed to be a part of any music scene (saying in one interview that they "are pretty comfortable in our outcast role"), nor do they label themselves to performing any specific music genre or style other than "lo-fi". I believe one may interpret their sound as resembling mixed pieces of folk, ambient, and drone blended together into their own unique soundscapes. It is well worth noting that many of their interests are stretched out to remote places obscure to the western world, which may also influence their work.
On this youtube channel, I have uploaded every Natural Snow Buildings music album, EP, compilation, and single I could find. It is over 50 hours of music. I hope there are others that are inspired by them as much as I have been.

accidentally drank caffeine before bed, either i fall asleep halfway through or finish it fully, so excited
my college is surrounded by a lot of woods. i don't like it here, i have very little control over my life and it's very difficult. but at night, the animals come out of the woods and walk around campus. the crespuscular/nocturnal ones at least. i haven't been eating because of trauma, im too afraid to leave my dorm. i got up about right before the second half to go to a common room because i wanted to try to see the animals. im extremely close with nature. and somewhere in the early parts of sun, i watched a fox run and sniff and walk around campus. i was left with only two words "omen enough" [my way of saying very affecting album]

Over four years ago (holy shit I can't believe it's been that long) I was taking a World History class as a freshman in highschool. The exams the teacher would hand out were famous and had earned the endearing name, "The Beast" because the teacher would put like 300 fucking questions on them. And this occurred on both the midterm and the final. I got A-'s on both. Despite the sheer size of the exams, they were still easy peasy for me. Similarly, despite the absolute gargantuan size of this album, I sat through it and not once did I get bored. It was super easy for me to make my way through it, and to say I enjoyed the ride is a vast understatement. The constant ambient droning takes me to another universe. The sweet and soft guitar melodies are super pretty and fit the mood super well. Honestly there's just so much to unpack here I'm gonna keep this concise. This album is super captivating from the start and will make you feel ways you've never felt before listening to music. It's a journey, for sure. Absolutely amazing.

A Burial At Sea is one of the most beautiful endings I've ever heard, turning these palettes of noise into a pristine ballad, transforming these noisy instruments into angelic voices that portray the sunrise
