I completely get it! I’ve been there too, aha! While I haven’t done a straight rewatch, I do have my favorite episodes that I find myself rewatching over and over. If you’re obsessed with the donghua and ever want to dive deeper into the story, I highly recommend checking out the novel. It adds so much depth to the world and characters! 😊

Also pointing sword to the man you love must be really hard for Lu Xueqi. Anyways, what I didn't like?Nothing. It's really good that's it's making me go crazy rn. It's just that, the ending in the novel, they just laughed with each other dang. I need more, they deserve more! But yeah, as long as they ended up together, I think it should be enough for me but still, it still hurts hayz. If s3 will come out next yr, hoping they could include those scene with Zhang Xiaofan and Lu Xueqi because there is really a long way to go hayzz.

@zheyeg9505 Who knows! Adaptation sometimes has a way to switch up the scene or drop new re-imagined scenes, lol. We can always keep our fingers crossed for the ending to give us that final dopamine hit with their relationship. It would definitely be wonderful!

@@boredpandacafe It (the son part) is in Jade Dynasty part 2, the son has the same name as the author. However the author abandoned the novel about half way through.

@@boredpandacafe I know, but to be honest Part 2 is quite ordinary to me, I could only read the 1st 10 chapters. Same thing applies for other novels of the author. I guess what makes Part 1 appealing was the love story between Xiaofan and Xueqi where they have to overcome a lot of obstacles to be together. I think many of us feel connected to the story in some ways. Whereas in Part 2, when they are already together and become minor characters and the focus is on a new main character, the story suddenly becomes average and ordinary, just like tens of other novels of the same genre.

Like Japanese anime, donghua has unique stories, styles, and cultural influences, but it comes from China and often features themes inspired by Chinese novels or folklore. The clip you just watched is from a popular donghua series called Soul Land, and this is the main character. Hope that helps! :)
