Also Freya familia fight to death every single day, they are trained soldiers to the highest degree. Loki familia can't participate cuz the Guild won't allow it. Ais had to stay away from Bell because she owed a favour to Freya. Apart from why it was all explained in the previous episode.

I think a core issue of Freya is the fact that Syr is treated as a separated entity when in reality they're one and the same, but Freya at this moment is not willing to admit that. Because it hurts her too much. Freya is so awesome, I'll be really disappointed if they get rid of her after this! If I ever doubted wanting the read the books for this series, I'm not anymore. Season 5 until now is as good as season 4 and in a completely different way.

Apart from Bell this episode is all about Hedin and his 'betrayal' and Ais's connection with Bell which proves stronger than Freya's charm. It's kinda sad how Freya seemingly can't find love and happiness. What do you mean real Syr? Syr is Freya, the other girl is Horn.

Freya actually tries to do everything with the minimum amount of hurting others, but she's reached a point of desperation. Syr and Freya are one and the same and there is an internal conflict in her, which life does she prefer living as. A Goddess of love and beauty or a normal girl. My guess is that at the current point she's trying to surpress Syr because in some way her as Syr failed and got hurt by Bell's rejection, but she's having some 2nd thoughts. Yeah, Freya is by far the most interesting character in Danmachi that's it's not close. I haven't read any of the books, but the anime is likely only scratching the surface of her character. This is another very cool and different season which is what make Danmachi such a good/underrated anime.

Freya didn't fake the update she actually did raise Bell's stats, she just had to use a special item to do it. I wish Freya could find happiness in a way where she doesn't feel the need to do what she's done. The ED song is awesome, Sajou no Hana's songs for Danmachi have been great for years now. Ofc the visuals ain't too bad either 🤣

this episode did a good job being the prelude to the last episode. It did a good job flushing out the emotional state of everyone and ramp up the tension!

Freya doing some crazy stuff indeed. Rather than using her power I think it's more like she just stopped surpressing it, basically let herself loose. I still love her though, easily the best character in Danmachi!

Very beautiful reaction. Sadly the daughter is pretty much confirmed dead in the manga, and yes Silky did yeet herself from the top of the building. Anime just took a rather low-key and beautiful route to show it, with the city lights all below her and there was even split second that shows she slipped her foot off the edge and then fell. To a kinder world, it's truly beautifully done.

Yeah, in the manga it is shown that the mom was working as a sex worker to help make ends meet. She took out money to throw her daughter a birthday party but loan sharks came when they didnt get their monthly dues. In the manga, the girl is confirmed dead. With no purpose, silky went on top of a building and DANCED off the ledge to her death. "Why dont people warn me about this stuff?" 😂 Lol well let me be the first to tell you: i have cried SEVERAL TIMES reading this manga. I still sobbed at this episode. 😢 And the messed up part of it is....this backstory isnt EVEN THE SADDEST ONE. DandaDan is a masterwork. It combines all genres; action, comedy, romance, tragedy etc . The more that science Saru puts their entire soul in, the more this anime will be one not easily forgotten. The characters, the storytelling, the designs and wonderful plots mixed in with equal parts comedy and tragedy .... This has quickly become my favorite anime and manga period. I hope you stock up on tissues. Because the longer this show runs, the more you will find yourself SOBBING. i have NEVER had a manga make me cry this way. Sorry not sorry. 😂 You'll just have to take it in as the beautiful masterwork it is. Like life, it is painful and beautiful ❤️

This is my favorite episode so far! Jinx and Sevika working together and having a new little mini Jinx is surprisingly awesome! I'm not sure how they managed to make this season even better but I can't wait for the rest Edit: 10:30 we think Jinx made the arm that way because Sevika really likes gambling so she added in elements she'd appreciate. Also, this was kinda like an apology considering Jinx was the reason why Sevika lost her arm in the first place.
