    5:17 I just adore the attitude of the female heroine overdose (victim?)!You saved her life but they get so pissed at me for Narcan(ing)/Naloxone(ing) their expensive high away! The gratitude I’ve received is so heartwarming! And apparently….consistent, especially with the amount of Fentanyl overdoses we get these days. 11:20 That is not the outcome I was hoping for the narcotic addict. She was likely in such a desperate state that she made an attempt at suicide rather than suffer her narcotic withdrawal….sad but not exactly surprising. I have sympathy for her but I detest the evil bastards that sell this crap to anyone with money. That’s all they care about and the widespread suffering it causes…they couldn’t care less about the misery a young girl like her goes through every single day just to get money by any means (usually prostitution) to pay these evil parasites!

    Very similar to the 1 patient, I fell a year ago from a tall ladder in the back of my house - allegedly (lol) while trying to paint my house. I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and some closed - small fractures of my skull, shoulder blade and several ribs, one which punctured my lung, leading to bleeding in there that restricted my breathing some. So they had to cut me there to drain the blood. They did a full scan of me, and put me in a drug induced coma, for better brain health, while they took over my breathing and watched to see how bad the head injury was. I was lucky, didn't require any surgery, the bleeding in my brain wasn't too bad, and resolved itself. But it was a bad enough TBI that I had to be kept in the coma for about a week, then brought out carefully, to get me breathing on my own again, then to pass a swallow test. Once I could communicate, I was repeatedly questioned (to determine my level and location of brain damage), about where I was, what day it was, who was President, what color something was, what happened. I was completely ignorant of the accident, and got many questions wrong (in the first week or so). I always felt fine, just a little sore where my ribs were broken. And, I have video of some early hospitalization, showing how bad I looked, black eyes, blood leaking from my ears and head. But due to a great trauma center, then transfer to a Rehab. Hospital for about 5 weeks, and w/ my family's daily support, I recovered almost completely, w/ just some mild double vision. I did have to be coaxed back to life, to balance and stand, then walk short distances, and was in a wheelchair for a week or so, while my balance improved. Physical rehabilitation was necessary, as not using your body for a few days make the muscles reduced, I think. Anyway, a tall ladder is not a place for most homeowners to be, and if you do, you'd better wear a bicycle helmet to protect your brain, the most important organ you have! Edit: And, the nurses who took care of me every day, who were patient w/ me as I tried to tell them I didn't belong there, were just great. While I was unconscious for several days, 1 of them - probably bored in babysitting me, and after they had gone through my hair looking for injuries, tied my hair in intricate rows. - When I came to, my hair felt like it was in knots. lol But in a hospital bed, there's no mirrors, and nobody says you look bad, so I didn't know what my hair was like for several days.

    I did half my X-ray internship at Mass General, now Boston Medical Center, and the other half at the VA. It was great working in a Level 1 trauma unit, I saw so many things and learned so much. Some of it was pretty bad and bloody, but MGH is one of the greatest hospitals in the world and most people recovered although for some it was a long road.

      I'm guilty of this. I was in the ER in a ton of pain, and a nurse asked something that was completely obvious. I was rude, but immediately pulled back and apologized. The pain was unbearable but I had no right to be an ass to someone comforting me. She was so nice to me afterward and I made sure I was too

      Yes, but you’re not a heroine addict, you’re just a normal kind decent person! I’ve never been thanked for administering Narcan, just cursed at for ruining their expensive high! Their gratitude is both inspiring and heartwarming! I don’t care, it’s water off a duck’s back. Next time, especially with the epidemic of Fentanyl overdoses, there might not be anyone to save them….and there’s always a next time. It’s sad really.

    • @johnhenderson131
      @johnhenderson131 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@strawberryhellokittyx That’s not quite the same as the young female heroine O.D. It’s understandable for a person in severe pain to be a little grumpy! And apparently you were even immediately remorseful…there a big difference! I bet ya 5 bucks that once your pain was relieved you were a completely different person and possibly even grateful? At least that’s been my firsthand experience (and quite common) especially if you’ve been waiting in that pain for ages with no knowledge of when someone is going to help relieve that pain.
