I challenged myself to only use the stock flex plugin that comes with FL studio 20 to make a tropical house song. It definitely was a challenge but i'm happy with the final results. This track is heavily inspired by Kygo, especially his "Kids in Love" album. the vocals are a bit off thebeat but overral the beat and everytrhing is preety nice .. you just have to fix and align the vocals properly toher than that greate job

I joined the waiting list for this class and was not even informed when the next class started. Very unprofessional of them. I'm not impressed with Monthly at all. Give your money to a company that actually appreciates your business.
That's frustrating! I was the in the first class for Kygo's monthly course so I didn't have to deal with any waiting lists!
I listened to Golden Hour straight through after watching this. I'd have a different option on a few songs but overall spot on.

Couldn't disagree more. The course is terrible. The demo songs are all crap. Kygo shows how to choose a song - and can only find one out of the several he tries that has any possiblities, which says it all. He says "You know" so often - like every 2 or 3 words - that aftr 20 minutes you just want to punch him. Where the hell was someone to direct him? The guy CANNOT teach. He waffles and pontificates unrehearsed and it's a mess. It takes him 40 minutes in one video to say "A good song needs a strong melody and chorus". Well duh! Why don't the demos have any then? There are broken links. the products he recommends at the start of the course are so old they all go to Amazon and say "No longer available". The guy actually sits in a studio with just laptop, a keyboard and most prominently featured - a guitar - but then says in the video he doesn't play guitar. WTF?! Absolute garbage - all of it.

Thanks for sharing and I guess we'll have to agree to disagree for the review of this course :) I do agree that some of the demo songs are not songs that I would produce, but I have heard other people cover them and put them on TH-cam, They manage to do a good job with the production and turn the vocals into a really good song!! I've got a bunch of videos on this channel where I produce some of the demos as well! For me I really enjoyed those long videos just sitting and watching Kygo's workflow, seeing his creativity in real time was super neat and encouraged me to keep producing!

sounds really good! I would suggest maybe some sidechain on the bass during the drop- right now it sounds like you were going for a dance song but it doesnt have quite enough bounce to it. BUT REALLY GOOD JOB DUDE
Glad you liked the song and also good point! Increasing the bass side chain would help the bounce of the song for sure! I also feel like I could of sidechained the pianos and synths of the drop more as well!
