On Mark 4: 1-20 with Theo Richter
The text for this service is taken from Mark 4: 1-20 and discusses the parable of the sower. There are so many parallels to everyday life that we can draw from this parable. We can deepen our understanding of ourselves and of those around us by being aware and in tune with our spiritual selves.

On Matthew 4:1-11 with Ingrid Hoffmann

Starting fresh with a clean spiritual slate is the aim many of us share when a new year begins. Is our main reason for setting this well-intentioned goal the risk of giving in to the old temptations of previous years? Either resisting temptation or giving in to it is a recurrent theme in the Bible, as it is in life! Let us explore how, with fresh resolve, we can reset our clocks to a divinely i...
On James 2:26 with Mark Herrmann
มุมมอง 80ปีที่แล้ว
“As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” (James 2:26) James stressed that faith is comprehensive, impacting every area of our lives and driving us to truly engage with other people in the world. In this context, how we live reveals what we believe and whether the faith we profess to have is a living faith. The recent TGD-organised working party to Israel was a f...

Still infused with a light-hearted holiday mood, this first online reflection of 2023 considers how a refreshed brain changed Elder Ingrid Hoffmann’s fixed view of a Bible passage. An approach to being spiritual but not religious is also in the mix. For more information on the Temple Society Australia, visit templesociety.org.au

My dad was interned in Tatura Victoria for 3 years while living marred in in Melbourne. He was from Transvylvania but had become a naturalised German. He was a musician and worked as a gypsy violinst and double bass player . He said it was a bleak period in his life but being imprisoned with The Austrian Viennese Boys Choir along with other musicians made it bearable. I have 6 photos of Tatura camp if you are interested.

I believe Hulda Wagner is my grandmother's cousin or once removed. She looks and speaks astonishingly exactly like my grandmother, who I miss very much. It was very reassuring to watch her. Thank you for this great documentary, it is really nice to be able to get in touch with one's roots.

May I ask why did Brits decide to send them to Australia instead of Germany? Was is for their own colonial purposes, to have experienced Europeans in Australia? In that case, they just "stole" German knowledge to build their own empire.

Loved this documentary - Beautifully captures Templer history. I congratulate all involved in this project especially our beautiful older Templers who told their stories. Great to see it now on You tube. Now our amazing, little known about and sometimes inappropriately distorted story - is finally told by us and can be shared. Ingrid Turner xxx
