Shay is a treasure, thank you for creating a haven for the very marginalised qeers. I genuinely didn't have a place to go just to be myself and enjoy the night. Unfortunately for me I do not have a lot of friends that enjoy my kind of shenanigans so I always end up going out on my own, which I don't mind because I know how to enjoy myself, the problem, however, is that a lot of venues gay or straight do not really admit or fully accept solo males. The straight guys view you with suspicion as if you are going to hit on them at any time, whilst the ladies treat you like a thing of amusement, one time some girl wanted me to twirl for her and she insisted to the point of aggression. I just want to dance and forget my troubles but someone wants me to entertain them. I have now stopped going to straight venues, I rarely go to gay venues because they seem more interested in making straight people feel welcome to the point where solo gay men are refused entry (happened to me again). Adonis changed all of that for me because it's queers first then everyone else. I was so proud when those in charge took a stand and said they would rather end the party than change its values and purpose. Now I go to Adonis by myself, dance all night or day by myself and no one bothers me, I don't bother anyone, when I am done I drag myself home and do it all over again. I am truly grateful for this and I know no one important will read this but just know that you did a great thing with Adonis. I am not antisocial or unable to make friends or anything like that, no, I just get too lost in the music, the dance floor is my best friend and I don't like missing a single track because the djs at Adonis know their craft. If I was to make a complaint it would be that please stop having too many great djs at one event it makes it very hard for me to choose which ones to spend time with and I really hate choosing 😂😂😂. I believe in sticking with a dj until their full set is complete so I end up missing so many because I rarely walk out on a dj. I have tried cloning myself but unfortunately society was not ready for that😅. Anyway, thank you once again, and thank you for this interview because this is actually the first time I have heard Adonis' origins story. By the way is it me or does Shay have a mischievous look like he has a dirty little secret he is trying hard not share😂😂😂

As much as I love her music… was it really that hard to do press junkets for your album? Yeah it was a long day but to be fair you’re driven around, pampered, treated like royalty, and all you had to do was sit and talk about what you love. A majority of people have harder jobs, especially oilfield workers that are in the elements, with no mercy working 12 hour days 6 days a week. Cmon now roux!

Why am I just seeing this? Woww Elly has really grown into such a radiant freaking super confident joy to listen to. Im so glad he mentioned his appreciation of her ability to create such sonic soundscapes. Thats right up there with her awesome voice for me. Her skills are impeccable. Quality stuff.
