Been using a helix 1 with a combo of reiger c2 and c3 a lot. I use passives mostly cos you don’t need to change them out or count how many times you’ve used it etc. big fan of the focus 3 cos it makes things a bit easier so sometimes use that. I don’t really spreadsheet this stuff sorry, I just sort of go with what I’m feeling. If it’s good I go there, if I fancy somewhere else I do that instead. I highly recommend ‘Red Monsters Mining Cheat Sheets for Star Citizen’. Just google that and you’ve got a fantastic resource that will definitely aid you in mining in SC! o7

Nice question! I use OBS to record and I push my settings quite hard to get the better picture over frames. This is changing cos I’m building a new decent rig as we speak! …soon (tm) I edit with the free version of davinci resolve. I work in a world where I know how to edit … a bit.. and record things.. I sort of work in that world. Nothing fancy but I’ve spent a lifetime fiddling with time and visuals and I’ve just sort of packaged that for TH-cam. I know how to present and make things look good… a bit. I can often record for a few hours in a morning and then edit for the rest of the day. Long hours… cos there’s hundreds and hundreds of speed changes throughout the video, (literally sometimes over 200) and then once you export it you watch it and realise you need to change something… lol. Probably a few days to do a full video but it takes longer when I’m not on a winter break lol!

The Helix is a laser head that goes on a Prospector or a Mole. Renting a ROC buggy is a great way to start the process of learning the mining loop though. I'll never forget doing it... im just not going to do it again lol. If you're in Pyro (i don't know where you can rent one) just sell the ore raw for a quick buck. If you're in Stanton a rented Prospector can make you millions! If ya wanna go mining hit me up dude! o7

Taurus or a normal Andromeda I’d take over a Corsair. Especially after the nerf. But Corsair can move the stuff fine. You can rent the prospector and try it out man

I'd choose a Helix 1. You can cover the most ground with it. Mole bags apparently do fit but I've not tried myself yet. o7

I feel your pain, I’ve been approaching with scan mode enabled and I’m pinging one of the rocks on target. When I get a purple halo I can switch to mining mode and it works a lot of the time. I still get ghost rocks though o7

Yes they still fit on the prospector

So I found approaching the rock in scan mode and pinging all the way up to the point I get a purple halo, means I can switch to mining mode and then scan the rocks. This tip works about 70 percent of the time and I have also found some ‘ghost’ rocks.

performance is overall great, however there are 4-5 gamebreaking bugs/crashes. they are rolling out hotfixes tho

Id wait at least a few days... as ever SC has some mecha bugs that are really breaking the game, seems like every time i do a video for it , it breaks hahahah

Sorry to hear that- theres actually an easy way: You could either rent a mole, OR buy 4 mole bags, 35 1 scu containers of waste, and pull them up via the hangar

SC has been terribly unstable these last few weeks. Hoping 4.0 (when it finally is released) will sort all these issues out. Sorry to hear you had a bad time following this. It's worked for a lot of folk but I guess the Free Fly along with the Idris event has borked the servers a bit. We'll be hopefully mining in Pyro by the winter break! o7

Aww nice one!! Dude this game gets you good! The last time I ‘new gamed’ I got to level 60 in about 3 weeks. I new gamed due to bricking my save cos of too many decoys lol! Don’t forget to back up your save and keep regular backups if you’re attempting massive decoy deployment! 👍
