An upgrade to my double CoF build that doesn't require a gem swap for Cast on Crit. The clear still feels good and the single target is much better. Gem swapping got annoying real quick, so I made sure this build performs for both mapping and bossing.

No doubt I'd be stronger with Archmage but I wanna make pure cold work. I also think Archmage will get nerfed so I'm staying away for now. Didn't realize my music was being recorded, apologies.

My usual build is double Cast on Freeze, but it's useless for Zarokh since he has high cold resist and basically won't freeze. I have to gem swap to Cast on Crit to exploit the fact that Frost Wall can be crit and counts as full health mobs (Ambush gem). The result is lots of comets. It's not the best damage but it's FUN. How does the build have Energy Shield and use Eldritch Battery? Could you update to what you're using?

Awesome build! Currently sat at 44 in Act III and this is the exact type of playstyle I’m shooting for. My build is different just because I haven’t respec’d since I started my build just choosing what I thought made sense at the time, but when things start getting rough for me I’m 100% going this route

How do you melt frost walls with frost bolts? Mine do no dps in acts. Im lvl 52.

@therealguanzo I actually had my eye on snakepit, I think it's way better in poe2, but I didn't think you use it and that it's the reason why you break the frost walls. I saw you wrote in the other comment that allows frost bolts to explode but idk why. The ring gives a chain or a fork, do you use the fork part to spawn 2 frost bolts when the first collides? That would mean 3 bolts from 1, assuming it's true.
what jewels did you put in the Jewel Socket? in Passive tree?
At least 2 with "2% mana recovered", at least 2 with "meta skills gain 10+% energy", then just general damage.
I was banging my head against the wall with my Chrono Triple Ele Invocation build on Zarokh for 2 runs now. I just tested double Cast on Crit against a map boss and it creates energy very quickly so I'm hoping I'll beat Zarokh as well as you did now.

I used to. The trick is to surround myself with frost wall before activating breach. Then CoF will kill the rest.

Remove the COF gem from your equipped gems, create another COF gem using an uncut skill gem :D

How are you prioritizing your stats for your wand and focus? For instance, levels to frost spells > spell damage > etc?

I've been following your build as a stormweaver and it's great but bossing is the biggest problem for me rn and I won't have the mana sustain for this variation probably. Any suggestions?
Get lower skill levels and stack mana regen on items
How do you have chaos innocultion and eldrich battery? I'm trying to follow the build but that makes no sense? Also could you make a video with a map clearing version with the crit casted meoters spamming version?
Why does it not make sense? I'm using CI/EB/MoM which is very meta atm. Haven't tried clearing with it yet, I'll give it a go.

I get paranoid about my mana pool leaving me defenceless... :) good management of TR is essential to pull this off I guess! Did you settle on an optimal level for your comet skill gems in the end?
I was very close to death multiple times haha. I totally should have died but I was just tanky enough to survive the burst, plus some luck. I'm not a math guy so I just used a level 14 gem which was the lowest I had, then after socketing it has +7 from my gear. It's roughly half the mana and half the damage of level 19. More comets = more chances to crit? Idk, but more comets felt more satisfying ;)

The current build has acceptable damage for rares and bosses with models big enough for Frost Wall, but that depends on your gear ofc. Still testing it out but it seems really promising. I'm getting 1 million+ bursts, and you can spam the combo indefinitely with Temporal Rift. It's also just hilarious to see 20 comets proc all at once. Unfortunately CoF is kind of useless for bossing, and using double CoF eats up 2 skill slots and 8+ support gems, so this is a decent compromise. My gem juggling flow: Grim Feast: Replace with Cast on Crit + comet, inspiration, spell echo, concentrated effect. Then select the 2nd weapon slot because it forgets it when you remove the gem. Comet: Replace concentrated effect with ambush, make sure you also have Inevitable Crit to guarantee that comet crits on Frost Wall to trigger CoC. Frost wall: Add Fortress, make sure you also have Spell Cascade. I keep CoC, Comet, Fortress, and Ambush gems in my inventory. The rest are used already by other spells. Boss fight flow: Sigil -> curse -> frost bomb -> frost wall -> comet -> temporal rift. Repeat frost wall, comet, temporal rift until boss is dead, reapply sigil/curse/frost bomb when you can.
Also, snakepit allows Frostbolt to explode on Frost Wall. So if the mob is too small to break Frost Wall, then surround it with Frost Wall and spam Frost bolt. Does decent damage.

Try putting elemental invocation into this with double cast on crit metas.

He also has eldritch battery and chaos inoculation

how is your HP blue? I've been running something similar, but instead of 2nd cast on freeze I allocated some skill points for the meta nodes on the right side of the tree.
