beautiful from both,,,such stunning humanity from the pianist... what a beautiful musical partner

Lovely smile, nice personality, warm timbre and some gentle soft singing. However, I'd have liked a better sense of legato and I longed to hear him caress the notes and taked more time over them in this incredibly beauiful Strauss creation. (The score is marked Slow, sustained...) He has the potential to make much more of this piece. I felt it was a tad too academic a rendition; it calls for greater commitment to the text. I don't speak German but I'm familar with the language. I suspect he needs to work on his diction, it didn't sound all that German to my ear but I'd be interested to learn what the experts say in this connection.

This is a very clear and thoughtful rendition. I especially liked the staccato treatment of' 'mir ist al ob ich längst..' I had not come across this playful treatment before.

Diese "Eleonara Pertz" , smiling stupidly during the whole score ........... one the most pityful moment I saw on YT. The score is made out of pure pain, and the young decebrated girl is smiling like a naive cow .... poor world ..............
