The Texas Law. "Adverse Possession" looks like a tool for theft of people's land. I saw it in Brady Texas. The law should be abolished and reparations paid to families who had their property taken because of "Adverse Possession". Stand up.

Bring recall petitions to Monday night. Have blank ones for people to take home and get signatures. Make em run for office again, it ain't cheap, they'll resign when you get in their pockets. United we stand!!!!!

Wow, what a debate, it sounds like more of a personal conflict and we are about to vote on who is right. Not the matters that occur in the town of Aransas Pass, let's focus on the town itself, how can we gain better parks, and more activities for the youngsters of the community, without having to make them pay, like that they have in our neighboring neighborhoods, like Rockport, Ingleside etc. Events in the Civil Center that can be hosted on weekends, like flea markets, and bake sales (is that cause the current mayor owns a bakery?), Rockport has something going on each and every weekend. Why don't we want industrial in the outer areas of Aransas Pass, to help bring more funds to help the schools, the building of parks, and more for those that live in Aransas Pass; in regards to the homeless of Aransas Pass, giving them something isn't going to work, if we have more industrial places, and clean up Main street, bringing more opportunities of work and "rehabilitation" for the homeless, would be a better offer, than just giving a "hand-out". Also please remember Aransas Pass, sits within 3 counties, so you must see what county you reside in before taxes are raised, Do not just look at the town of Aransas Pass, it could be Nueces County, San Patricio, or Aransas County that raises taxes. In regards to abandoned properties, especially along commercial stretches, I feel that the owners of the property should be responsible, or lien the land and allow the township to take ownership as the same with property tax, and in regards to personal homes, if it's not up to code, and unlivable then the property again can have liens placed on the land, including removing the demolishing if so need to be; payment payments can be made, should not be left up to the citizens of the community.
