Samar MG33 Microphone Comparisons On Piano
A quick snippet comparing some of my go-to microphones against the newcomer Samar MG33 on my Yamaha U3 upright piano.
Snippets one and two compare a pair of sE RN17s to the Samar MG33s, configured as a spaced pair on the piano's hammers.
Snippets three and four compare a pair of DPA 4011s to the Samar MG33s, configured in an ORFT coincident pair on the piano's soundboard.
Mic amps were Millennia HV-3D. No eq or compression. 48/24 WAVs.
Thanks to the incomparable Utar Artun for his beautiful playing today.
