    Love the Honda Accord, I currently have a 2016 Accord LX and I'll be looking to replace it in the next 4 years or so. The Hybrid will be the way to go and the interior is great for a Touring trim. With prices finally starting to fall on the higher end models by the time I'm ready to pick one up it won't cost an arm and a leg to get a nice low mileage one.

    Look, the ragtop is a Roadster, the hardtop is a coupe. The fact is all the MG's and alike back in the day had vinyl tops and they were driven in Canada, throughout the northern U.S. as well. Talking about noise is an anti-roadster ideology. I wouldn't own a silent sportscar. Droptop is the only way to buy a Miata period. Actually, the MX-5 has a canvass top, not vinyl.

      I filled half a tank with regular a few days ago on my Integra A spec Elite. As long as you don’t intend on racing it with regular octane it will run perfectly fine around city and some highway trips. The reason people complain about knocking because people who buy these drive like idiots, and making a lower octane work hard will definitely make the engine wear faster. If you intend on doing city drives or highway cruises, 87 octane is honestly not gonna hurt the engine!

    On a 200 mile trip, say, would there always be juice in the battery (from a full charge and without charging it midway) so that the electric motor would be able to kick in at any time where you need that extra acceleration?

    • @thestudentdrivercarreviews
      @thestudentdrivercarreviews 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there is always a little bit of electricity in the battery and the computer will use that if it thinks you need both the electric and gas powertrain simultaneously.

    Um, no folks. 3:21 he says that leg room is surprisingly roomy. Not true. It's a miserably crammed space. And for the passenger it's even worse with the stupid hump in the floor. The seats are also awful and not supportive and do not recline enough. Don't even get me started on the dopey cup holders and no glove box. Better off with a Mini Cooper convertible. It addresses all of these issues, seats four and handles like a go-cart.

    • @thestudentdrivercarreviews
      @thestudentdrivercarreviews ปีที่แล้ว

      Gonna have to disagree with you on that. The Mini Cooper is great but driving wise it’s not in the same fun class as the miata.

      @The Student Driver Car Reviews what is the Mini lacking in driving dynamics?

    • @thestudentdrivercarreviews
      @thestudentdrivercarreviews ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair enough here are the 3 thing I like about the miata vs mini coopers. To be clear I’m not saying Mini Cooper is bad, far from it, just pointing out why I prefer the miata: 1. Weight: the miata weighs over 600 pounds less than the Mini Cooper convertible. Less weight equals better handling on average. 2. Rear wheel drive: on a nice summer day rwd cars have nice handling with better steering dynamics. Mini coopers are fwd unless you opt for the awd mini. 3. Manual transmission: the mini on paper can come with a manual but in Canada it’s very difficult to buy manual cars anymore. The vast majority of vehicles in the road are automatic. Miatas are still readily sold in manuals and they are amazing since the power goes right through the column due to the rwd transmission. I find fwd manuals to feel really mushy and rubbery imho.

    • @bigmacdaddy1234
      @bigmacdaddy1234 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thestudentdrivercarreviews Friendly counterpoints: 1.More weight means more insulation, better materials and stronger frame. This is why the Mini is a premium built car and the Miata isn't. The Mini also seats four and has plenty of storage space and glove box. 2. The fwd Mini will handle beautifully in the summer AND the winter. 3. The Mini manual is anything but mushy. They perfected the drive train.

    • @thestudentdrivercarreviews
      @thestudentdrivercarreviews ปีที่แล้ว

      Your position is sound, by all means. I think that for people who need more seats and more storage space the Mini Cooper is the better choice. In some way you can argue that taken as a whole that Mini Cooper may be better taken all together. I think that stands. That said, the miata has its shortcomings and if those are a no for someone then the Mini Cooper is an alternative. Have you driven a miata before? Without driving one it’s easy to say how one car would be better than the other. To be clear I like the Mini Cooper and all year round where, I live, yes, in awd it’s a great choice and I do love its handing too. Reviewed one early this year.
