Lovely video Dale !! A wonderful kickstarter for people who want to indulge in comics (like myself). I was a language student in college and we've explored many graphic novels, autobiographies, etc, which sparked my interest in comics. Thank you again for this video, friend. 💕
this is the first video by you im watching and woah! i love your artstyle so much man!! sybscrubked !! also Scott McCloud mentioned!!! i own both Understanding Comics and Making Comics and it was so helpful when starting out (im still a begginer at comics tho)

Your art style is so cool! I love how much weight the lineart has. May I ask what are you using to erase the ink to add texture? Is it just a custom eraser derived from a soft pencil? Or maybe if you don't mind sharing what brushes you're using in general!

Thank you so much! Yeah, I tend to refine my sketches a lot. It helps me map out where everything should go when I ink and color it.

Such a cool composition! I noticed you do a lot of hatch shading during the sketch process, is that to get a more precise sense of the light/dark values?
Thank you! Yes, I use the crosshatching to help me map out where I want the shadows to sit and where that transition between light and dark should be at.
