Angel Baby - Jeanette Jurado (full version) HQ
In 1995 the lovely Jeanette Jurado, of girl group Exposé, was given a cameo role in the movie 'My Family', playing Rosie Hamlin of Rosie and the Originals during a dancehall sequence. Jurado's version of Hamlin's classic 1960 doo wop hit 'Angel Baby' is one of the few cover versions of a classic from that era that equals or exceeds the original in quality.

Angel Baby is my favorite song, but I have to use in my Mother's Day playlist. I listened to it when I was 5 years old in 2012 to 2013 in Texas Children's Hospital. I love C major songs with piano solo. It was similar to the songs, "What's The Use Of Presents?" "All Out Of Love" "Colors Of The Rainbow" "Shine" and "We've Got Love" and the movies and specials, "Arthur's Perfect Christmas" and "Signing Time: My Favorite Things:" I love it!!

This beautiful and amazing woman was part of the huge 1980's girl group, Exposé, which had 3 or 4 hit albums and a long string of hits! She also had a few acting jobs and did some solo work as well! She did an excellent job on this recording 👏
For me personally, I prefer Rosie’s original. This one though, I feel like she loves the extent of her voice nore than the essence of the song. No hate

Jeanette nailed it. Great updated version in which the instruments including the sax sound so much better. Loved the original but this version is just spot on! Loved Expose and Jeanette going on her own surprises me that she didn't do more covers with her amazing voice.
Jeanette had a professional studio, Rosie had to record in a hanger type of studio.
