Why do a video with music,
20 June 2024 watching your video
Kip from Napoleon dynamite? You do love technology !
I have learned after seeing the time machine.
Fast? I wait 45 mins just to get luke warm food.
I would check your actual connection for problems. Make sure the red light on the side is staying on constantly. If it turns off during cooking, then you might have a problem. There could be a short in the 10v or in the actual cord for the stove itself. That has not been what I have seen with these portable stoves. Also make sure the thing is clasped close as well while cooking to keep the heat in.
Yup I checked everything.nada.i even switched out the fuse and cab fuse.
Just a thought here. Have you tried a different 10v connection in the truck to see if the same thing happens there?@@waynejohnson3714
I took an 18 volt drill battery charger and converted it with 12 volt adapter plug. Have been running this roadpro on 18 volt drill battery for 3 years now. No issues and it actually cooks like you would expect. No blown fuses. Just let battery run out to keep warm or change to new battery every 20 mins. No need to hook anything to your vehicle.
How long did that meal take? Basically that's the same meal I was going to make lol.
It took me about 15-20 minutes to get it nice and hot. About the same amount of time it would take you to walk into a truck stop, place your order, wait for them to make it, and walk back to your truck.
@@truckonomics9031 that's really fast. I've ordered one. You ever try to cook raw rice in it? If so how long did that take?
@@wickway I can tell you that I have never tried that and I wouldn't recommend it for a couple reasons. The first is that despite it being quick cooking, for some reason boiling water takes a while. There also is no way to easily release the steam generated. I would look into a different device for that.
@@truckonomics9031 oh yeah really good point. Yeah without releasing steam that could be pretty dangerous. I got it and am amazed the speed it cooks up sandwiches. I had the hot logic and that thing took forever. I wish there were a reliable microwave for a 12v. I don't have a truck just a van.
@@wickway you could use a microwave if you got a power inverter of at least 1000 watts or more. But that is the solution many trucking companies use for when they have an APU or an EPU.
I used points to purchase this today thanks for the review I can’t wait to try mine today with my trucker buddies
Thank you for the review. I'm buying one!
I hope you are enjoying it.
Are you not driving anymore?
That mustache is savage
How many of them have you owned. How long does it last
I owned 3 of them total. I only had one that I ever replaced because it broke. The others were due to not needing them such as having a microwave in the truck.
Music very loud on your video.
Thanks for turning your head to avoid coughing in my face. 😂
Your welcome
Will it drain the battery or blow a fuse
Good question! I never had one blow a fuse in my truck. I only used it with trucks that had an APU or were idling while I had it on. If you use it under those conditions then you should have no issues with draining the battery.
HOW come on one mentions if it DRAINS OUT YOUR CAR BATTERY????
Any electronic device plugged in can drain a car battery given enough time. Ever seen someone leave their headlights on and them come back to a dead battery? These stoves pull some power. The simple fix to this is to leave the vehicle running while it is on. The alternator will keep the power going and your battery will be fine.
Thanks for the video but the background music ruins it for me.
Only one I'll use, it's light weight and a very good blue parrot headset and not over priced
I was just gifted the B-250-XTS (probably the same) now I noticed that the earpiece swivels side to side and up and down, and I don't know if that's normal. Would you know if its supposed to swivel?
It swivels a little bit but not much. Check to ensure the ear piece is fully attached to the unit.
But does it really cook? Not just pre prepared meals? Thanks.
It can get hot enough to boil water inside for sure. It also doesn't use gas which you wouldn't to use in an enclosed space or where having an open flame could be very dangerous. I myself have made hamburgers using one of these. Would I use it to make a stew or something that is meant to simmer for hours? Of course not. But for quick cooking things? I would think it can work for that.
Work as both service writing and shop tech and these shoes are worth it 3 weeks into getting them. Yes indeed swap out the insole for something better
Junk
Awesome review, I’m buying one for my husband and was looking for reviews 👍🏼
I am glad you liked it and I hope it was very helpful.
Is there a 2-ear version of this?
Blue Parrot does sell a 2 ear headset. They are the S-450s.
Nice just got my pair today was looking for a review they are really comfortable got them for 32$ at Walmart !! Thanks for the review man !!!
Just got this headset at a Pilot in Charlotte for 60 greenbacks (20 off using reward points).
How’s it holding up? Buying one myself
Just bought mines I tried to warm up some veggies and cooked chicken strips took a whole hour this thing sucks don’t waste your money
You are more than welcome to your opinion and experience. However, I have had 4 of them and all of them have worked quickly. I would suggest returning the one you got and getting a new one as none of mine have ever heated up slowly.
Yours must be broken. 30m to warm up. I can cook meatloaf in 2 hours and whole chicken in 3 hours.
Had mine 2 yrs. Works perfect
@@cameranmanner4701 at home or on gas ,not on 12v , for every thing there is advantage and disadvantage .
@@shaykomornik4632 on a road trip to California. popped the raw meatloaf in, after 2 hours we head to a rest area and unplug and eat. 300*F is hot enough to cook with. It's not going to brown if that is what you are thinking. I have boiled 5 eggs in 45mins, cooked rice, veggies with ribs in 1hr30m. Have you tried or just speculating?

What are your thoughts on them?
How are you liking them so far?

Hey Man Thanks for the great recipe ideas. Drive safely brother. Stay Happy.
You too! Keep the shiny side up brother!
Nice video Thanks for sharing
Didn’t say how long it takes to cook/warmup food.
It depends upon the item being cooked or heated up but the average is around 10 to 15 minutes.
Well.... FIGURE IT OUT
I have never had one of these take longer than about 30 minutes to heat something up.
What is the charging time when the set is dead? Also, if you leave your phone in the vehicle with the head set on, do you know how far you can walk away from the phone before it unpairs? Good review👍
When the set is completely dead it can take a couple hours to charge to full power. As far as the range is with the headset I know I can walk about 50 feet away from the phone. Any more than that and it has a big chance of disconnecting from the phone mid call.
Mom wont let me order one because unbeknownst to me she ordered and receive hers. I just looked at it and it has many cool features beneficial to truckers and us regular drivers. good review. I give it 4****!

Great gadget, background music not so much 😫
Will this work on a cars 12 volt I’ve hard they work great in semi tractors but that they are made to handle more then a standard cars 12 volt I would love one but I am worried that my cars 12 volt can’t handle the power this requires Regards
It should work fine while using it. Just be sure to keep your car running while using it. That way it doesn't drain your batteries too much.
I though aluminum foil does release elements on the food.,!
Tell me if you using a tomato base product. Alton Brown said that using foil for cooking purposes is perfectly safe so long as you don't use tomato based products.
can you warm water with this?
I have many times.
When you're camping and a car is stationary, how do you keep your car battery live? Wouldn't these appliances drain the car battery?
They do drain the battery but simply run the engine and you will be fine.
Vehicles have an alternator that keeps the battery charged up. Otherwise you'd be replacing your battery every day. The engine must be running to have the alternator on. Careful with using a car...many small cars are CUVs don't have the proper fuse & wiring capacity to run one of these safely. Look up your vehicle's info or ask a dealership. You can always have things 'upgraded' to safely run one. A pickup or full size SUV usually can handle these stock.
Nice review! I will definitely buy one for my truck.
i bought those shoes just recently from walmart for $30.00 because I just started a new job and needed something in a pinch my opinion and they are awful they have no arch support and very uncomfortable i work 8-10 hours a day and have to do alot of walking and they are killing my feet and my ankles i will not buy these again. I'm will spend more money for a better quality shoe!!
randumbvideoz 524 my brother had a pair of boots by Brahma a rusty nail went through it the insole is cardboard the sole is cheap tp matierial which provides no protection if that nail was bigger my brother wouldn’t have his foot right now
I still stand by these for their price. And I have been in heavy industrial environments with them.
@@truckonomics9031 are these good for factory work? I mean are they allowed for factory work?
I have used these while I worked for Amazon in one of their sort centers. I also have used these as a truck driver while going to different factories. They are steel toes. I would assume yes.
@@truckonomics9031 walking on your feet for 8-10 hours sometimes more than that carrying heavy objects going in and out of trailers walking long distances on concrete they beat the shit out of your feet!! I'm not sure what you do on a daily bases but strap on a pair and get to business try carrying 100 pounds on a concrete surface for 8 hours everyday for on week and come back and tell me how your feet feel.
I can tell you are using your phone. You really need to get a better camera so it doesn't keep changing focus like that.
Tentacle Difficulties Media we are certainly working on getting a better camera but home expenses come first.
