Mountain Hike in Japan!
This is Mount Kobo, a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
An easy 2 hour train ride from Tokyo station on the Odakyu Odawara line.
Relatively a popular and easy hike, on a good day you can see Mount Fuji and during the spring, famous for their cherry blossoms.
At the top, at the far end of the park there is a large bird viewing wall for those bird watching enthusiasts which is shown at the end and if you continue to the end of the trail, there's a lovely onsen called Tsurumakionsen!

How To Assemble A Bowl Of Ramen
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a breakdown on how to assemble an entire bowl of Ramen. There's many different ways to make Ramen although this is an overview of the layers that you would see in any bowl of Ramen. If you are going through the arduous task of making a bowl of Ramen, make sure you have all 5 of these layers and don't overlook any. I hope this can help you in terms of assembling a bowl of Ramen at least!...
I love genkans.
Only just found your video, I’ve seen so many traditional Japanese house tours, but I have to say, I LOVE your family home and your presentation! I can imagine your grandparents living there and you all visiting. My son lives in Tokyo for 26 years, his wife is Japanese, my 2 grandsons are half Japanese/English as you are. We’re lucky enough to visit each summer 🥵🥵 Look forward to catching up on other videos Good luck
Loved the video....to be fair😂
Hahahhahaha, this comment will live with me forever - to be fair 😂
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing your family home with the world. Not sure if Japanese people on average are short or you're just incredibly tall. A few time in the video I for sure thought you were going to hit your head on something.
Thank you very much, I’ll be sharing a lot more to the world soon! Well the door frames are about 180cm and I just about get through although my hair would brush the top if I don’t duck a little 😂
I thought when he started talking he sounded peed. Then when he opened the beer or lager or whatever it was. ...yeah he has had a drink. Words a little slurred.
It’s called a ‘strong’ and it’s a 9% Chuhai which is like a mix of Soda, Shochu and some kind of fruit juice. I think anyone would slur after drinking this although I didn’t actually drink it so sad to hear you think I was slurring 😂
God Japanese homes are so depressing...
At night time, they can be dark and creepy - they creek a lot which doesn't help! haha
Thanks. Really enjoyed it 😊
Thank you! Glad you chose carefully 😉
You dad Japanese ??
It’s my mum that is Japanese!
Beautiful house. I like Japanese design a lot. My apartment now also feels great.
Thank you, Japanese design is very unique I think. Is your apartment in Japan?
@@japandy Yes. I'm living in Yokohama. Japanese design makes me feel both modern and cozy (especially traditional houses like yours)
Thanks for sharing
You bet! Thank you as well Hamid
Amazing home ❤❤❤.
Thank you!
Beautiful Japanese home...
Thank you!
Really interesting tour, great explaining
Thank you Lorna! Means a lot 😊
man I wish strong zeros just appeared like that for me 🥲
It’s a terrible curse upon my grandparents place
Your Japanese name is "Horse Field"?
Yeah if you were to translate the Kanjio directly, Horse field / place - sounds funny when saying this in English haha So it's Baba
Very Nice, very informative. I assume that the table in the living room was also the dining area.
Thank you, appreciate the comment! Yeah that's right, something that is quite typical for these kinds of houses, that's the most used room in the house and probably the smallest haha
I would love to move there one day. Is my dream from childhood. But I don’t know that will happen.
Japan is an amazing place to live! Did you mean Kumagaya specifically? Haha
@@japandy Doesn’t matter the city or place to be honest. Idk why but from childhood I have a fascination with asian and black culture. Even now I am working part-time in an asian restaurant only to be able to be close with these people and learn from them. Even the fact they don’t even speak english and they speak only in their language makes me happy ab it. I know they curse me sometimes when I make mistakes, because of the tone of the voice, but doesn’t bother me, in fact I enjoy it😆 But I think someone really needs to have money to be able to buy a house there, isn’t so? I am not in the news to how much are the prices, and I was afraid sometimes to check, to not ruin my dream completely:))
I learnt so much! Great video!!
Glad it was helpful!
Wow amazing voided! Your house looks so fantastic!
Thank you so much!
Wow amazing video!!!
You've left 2 comments on one video honey 😂

Thank you! Really appreciate the message as it spurs me on to make more 🤜
Financial peace isn't the acquisition of stuff. It's learning to live on less than you make, so you can give money back and have money to invest. You can't win until you do this. --Dave Ramsey
Great quote Yasin!
Good explanation and your house is awesome. But ovens, although not built in, are often bought as a microwave combination. I use mine often.
Thanks John, much appreciated. That is very true, we had a Christmas dinner that had to be made in about 6 different microwave ovens last year 😂 I must admit though, now that we cook mainly just Japanese food, never use the oven anymore!
I like the house and I love Asia too ! More lively in there 🙂🙃 .
Lovely to hear and thank you so much Lheia!
@@japandy 🙂🙏👍
Imma definitely gonna sub ya
Haha thank you! Be more videos soon 🤜
Amazing video. Love to join you on this journey.
Thank you, much love!
Camera upgrade?
Same camera but we used filming lights!
@@japandy woah really? Massive difference
This is so cool! Andrew (Questions whilst watching haha)- in the Washitsu, what is the cable /string hanging from the middle of the room for is this for a light? Ive seen this before in shows/film and always wondered what it is for? That hair dryer is so cool! do you find it easy to transition between english and japanese language in conversation? do you not stay here whilst in Japan or do you have your own place?
Thank you Lolli! Well done for knowing the word Washitsu haha, yeah the strings for the light. They’re typically a lot longer in the bedrooms and basically reach the ground so people can turn off the lights whilst in their Futons! Language wise, surprisingly very easy to transition between the 2 languages I don’t stay at this house often unfortunately, it’s only used for a few weeks a year now!
@@japandy ah ! That makes so much sense and super obvious now as to why the strings are mega long ! Haha thanks 😊 looking forward to some more videos X
Amazing video Andrew. looks like this could be on the telly :) Really interesting to see Ramen being made too! Im excited for you to open up a ramen shop in the UK :)
Thank you! Still at the beginning of the journey but really looking forward to opening the restaurant. I’ll send you an invite for when it happens haha
@@japandy yesss I would love that ! Such a cool journey to follow ! Looking forward to watching it all unfold mate 😊
Second random Strong, 2 mins 24 seconds in 😂

Thank you Eliza, hopefully you will get to eat it one day! haha Yeah it's on a Canon Alpha 7 iii, been great for filming
Nice!
Thank you!
Awesome video, absolutely LOVE ramen! But only have time to make a pot noodle.. 2 days to make an egg?!🤣
I'll make a video about jazzing up a instant Ramen at some point - what I do with all the extra toppings I have to be fair 😂
Amazing! Great video, can we see the 7 day version please? 🥺
Thank you! I'll try to find out how to do it, be a lonngg video though haha
