I found you video informative but yet confusing. I live in the USA. I am of Hispanic AND Mexican decent. I am 100 percent looking to move to Mexico if tRump is elected again, because we all know how thats gonna go for brown people. I am a single mom. I live on disability. I need to get to Mexico where I think I will not be killed by white people...AKA tRump and his REGIME. I am scared as hell. I have a young son. I need to also protect him. My maiden name is Unzueta. My family came to America from Spain Via Mexico.
To travel into Mexico is about 5 times the amount of insurance i pay in America! WOW. did not know that. that is outragious! so i would have to leave my vehicle at the border.
It still works, my Netflix remote using Nord
Good morning I hope all is well. I have a question. My husband is a native of Mexico and we will be coming in Sunday to visit family and work on my residency paperwork. Can you recommend a trusted Facilitator for thr INM process and we need assistance for Airbnb in the area? Jamila
Where will you be visiting in Mexico? San Miguel?
@@RetiredLifeinMexicoNOBULL We may be arriving in SMA October 21 or 22 and we may have a facilitator appointment as of today. However, I will reach out to you again to let you know. Thanks Jamila
HEB ❤ Juriquilla
Hello Ernie! I’m Sandra from Houston Texas living in Morelia Michoacán since Feb 2, 2024 I have a question anyway to email/whatsapp? Thank you! Sandra e Juan
I will be going live on Sunday to answer questions about Mexico. My email is info@retiredlifeinmexiconobull.com to request free consultations.
Been in Mexico for several years a long way from the border.. I've only see anyone paying with Dollars once, and he was a Mexican.. They were obviously tourist and he had a BIG stack of U.S. currency. I'm sure they were from the states. At a Sorianas. They took it.. I got a 4 year temp residency card through the Regularization program.. Took about 2.5 hours, fairly easy. People can post anything on you tube.. Most are full of B.S. Click farming..
I think you're right as far as what the Democrats will do if they win in 3 weeks. With Mexico having a growing economy and the investments coming in from nearshoring, Mexico would definitely want to keep that free trade agreement, I definitely think the Harris Admi would use that to it's advantage, especially to help with the optics of the border crisis. But a second Trump administration has different plans if you go by what Trump has said over the last few months. Just today he suggested prison camps for undocumented migrants, mass deportation, of course getting Mexico to build the wall, and using the Army to fight the cartels. That's a few of them. I wish I could believe it was just rhetoric but that dude's lost it. I have a nice place in Saltillo picked out just in case lol
Four years ago I brought two laptops into Merida and I was charged duty on the second one. (I did declare it.) They gave me a letter though and told me to travel with that letter if I took the laptop in/out again.
Sorry Inmissed uou. I was in the middle of Hurricane Milton. Safe but it was scary - been sorting out some damage today. See you next time
Zacua is a Mexico car company which only makes electric ones. Looking at their design, size, and price, you would be better off getting a Tesla Model 3 for only 50,000 Pesos more.
A video on the forms to prevent items being taxed multiple times when bringing items repeatedly into Mexicowould be GREAT. Thanks for raising the issue. And you were not breaking up for me.
I realize I don’t know anything about the self defence laws in Mexico 🇲🇽 😊 Seems like women who defend themselves against an attack could go to jail 😮 Did ever talk about it?
When choosing any financial solution, there's no substitute for doing your own due diligence. Not all fintechs carry the same risk. Depositors funds are insured in Mexico, albeit at a lower rate than traditional banks.
Hey, do you know if it is safe to cross into Mexico from Nuevo Laredo to drive to Monterrey?
Thank you so much!!!
Hi, this video is a little older, but wondered if you know the updated process for a Temporary Mexican Resident flying into Mexico, do we need a FMM form filled out? Or do we just go to immigration and they stamp our passport? I see different answers when I research (Flying into Merida). Thank you,
Such nice and interesting news of Mexico and other countries, thanks for sharing your knowledge
Thanks Ernesto! Almost got this app.
Is there still of weight restriction on the GVWR?
Don’t put anything into it that you aren’t willing to lose. Definitely wouldn’t use it for savings. But for people who are working towards a residency visa and have no other options, this might be the best tool to get access to services that require CLABE transfers or Mexican credit cards. But it has its risks.
Holding too much money in fintech is probably not a good idea regardless of the country it operates in. Looks like a nice way to handle small amounts of money for mundane expenses (easy interface). Does Mexico have an equivalent of SPIC? If so I’d recommend an investment account associated with a bank (like Merrill Lynch & Bank of America) to store large sums of money in Mexico. Does Apple Pay work in Mexico City (brick & mortar in Polanco) with a US client wise virtual card? If the contactless payment device knows it’s collecting pesos, and the wise account contains pesos will Apple accept to pay in pesos or will Apple want to do the currency conversion? I have a Schwab card and my bank reimburses ATM charges too so I’m covered for ATMs.
Does Apple Pay from a US phone using a Wise card already converted to Mexico pesos work in Mexico City? Does Apple do needless conversion or will it accept paying in pesos if the machine in the restaurant says you are paying in pesos?
Can you cover crypto taxes in Mexico?
We purchased a TIP permit n immigration provided FMM in exchange for my TR card. The step I missed was to contact aduanas and provide paperwork to them to link my TR n TIP. My TIP expired back in March 2024. If I take car back to Texas will I be able to return the same car and purchase a TIP?
Can I get rid of my USA insurance when I have Mexican car insurance, and I am not planning to bring my car back to the states until my temporary residency needs to go permanent.
Good to know about Farmacias Similares. Thanks again for an amazing live.
Have you heard of Outbound Mexico? They have been advertising a lot lately to speed up getting visas. It sounds scammy.
I’m a duel US & Mexican citizen, living in the US. Not sure understand, can I get a TIP to bring my US plated car into Mexico? I’ll enter Mexico on my Mexican passport.
Restaurants in go to raise prices when the dollar is worth more.
Leave mexico alone gringos
Mexico doesn't tell the USA how to pick its judges !!! The Mexican peso is getting stronger and stronger.
Thinking of buying a condo; maybe this is a good time🤷🏼♂️
Update - the exchange rate has gone back down to just over 19:1, and it appears to have stabilized at the moment. However, I don't see it going towards 17:1 at the end of this month because there usually isn't a two-peso drop in just two weeks time. That said, earlier this year when it was at levels last seen in 2015 (the 16-17 range), there had been people in various expat groups discussing the exchange rate going 10:1. We don't know where the peso will be headed in the future, but I most certainly don't see it reaching 10:1 anytime soon. A lot of things will have to be occurring for that to happen; in other words, it'll take a long time for the peso to get that strong.
Hi, Sorry I missed this live question video.... I wanted your advice on what I should bring to Mexico when I move there next month for TV, I heard I should buy an Amazon Firestick (any special one?) we don't watch movies much, we just want to get reality TV (Bravo, HGTV, TLC) sports channels and news (CNN, MSNBC) from the US. Also heard something about a VPN not sure what that's all about Or if I need it? Please help I am not good at this tv stuff even when I Google it still seems a little confusing. Thank you 🌺
F the US. We are the world’s bully. Never trust the US.
Say hello to Jose Arteaga for me while in Meridia!
Why not have the people vote for Judges instead of appointed by politicians? Sound like a good thing. Mexico is playing a risky game but ultimately it will play out for Mexico.
Enjoy the rest of your time in Merida! Prayers for a good outcome and speedy recovery for your son.
One important trend in Mexico is that the USA is trying to decouple from China. The US has no choice but to invest in Mexico. Mexico's standard of living will rise because of this. If Mexico can control corruption the Mexican people will benefit from this new higher standard of living.
Americans should be worrying about their own corrupt Supreme Court Justices ⚖️
Concerning to hear you speak of new CDC rules. Does the WHO also determine rules for Mexico?
Expats you mean immigrants!!!!
What's the difference? Two sides of a coin, no?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the term "expats." I understand this is a topic that can be viewed from different perspectives. However, it's important to recognize that not all expats are immigrants, and not all immigrants are expats. I use the term "expats" as a general way to refer to people who move to Mexico from another country. I don’t get involved in moral or political debates over terminology because identity is personal, and I respect how people choose to describe themselves. While I understand the concern, please know this channel is for everyone-whether you identify as an expat, immigrant, or something else entirely. My goal is to provide helpful information to anyone interested in moving to or learning about life in Mexico. Thanks again for engaging with the content!
@RetiredLifeinMexicoNOBULL it's NOT how you choose to identify yourself..its what it is..IMMIGRANT.
Thanks for your comment! I understand there are different opinions about the terms 'expats' and 'immigrants.' I use the term 'expats' as a general term, not to diminish anyone’s experience, but because it’s the most commonly recognized term for people who move abroad temporarily or long-term. I’ve found that at least 50% of people who move to Mexico end up moving back home, so 'expat' feels like a fitting description for many. That being said, I know some folks feel strongly about these labels, and while I respect those opinions, I’m not here to debate semantics or personal preferences. My goal is to create a space that helps everyone, regardless of the terms they use to describe their journey. I can’t please everyone, but I hope the content I provide is helpful to all. Thanks for watching!
i hear that things are quiet now since there is a new prime minister. is it true
Things tend to settle down for a bit, but then flare up again. The most recent issue involved the cartels and OXXOs, which had to shut down across the town. The problem with Nuevo Laredo is that even when it's calm, it can quickly spiral into chaos, and this has been the pattern for the last five years. While many people pass through Laredo without any issues, the instability means there's always a high risk of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I do not recommend this crossing based on my professional opinion and security background, even though many may disagree with me.
Born in the USA, immigrated to Mexico 50 years ago, now fortunately a Mexican citizen, screw the USA tyrany.
Thanks for the great information as always. Keep up the great work I went to my bank to order some pesos last week when it was at 20. We will need it when we move in January.
Take advantage of while you can! Glad to see you’ll be enjoying Mexico soon. Only a few months away! Time goes by fast…😉
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on the subject 🙏 😊 I also subscribe to your channel as well...
Great information, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!😀
