These were just two of the mellow trails! My GoPro died before I could record the super gnarly ones! They have a pro jump line with 30 to 40 ft doubles and wooden doubles that I had no part of doing. Absolutely awesome of a place though! Definitely check it out if you're back in the area. Only 2 hours from Bentonville is well!
Hey dude I went to Shephard mtn over the weekend and absolutely loved it!! Only rode 3 courses then we left but had a great time. Going down there not this weekend but the next Saturday if you wanna go have some fun!

You're going to love it!
Anybody looking to go here know this: Trolley Track is the "easy" trail and it is much MUCH rougher than shown in the opening day videos. Winter has not been kind to the trails and it doesn't seem like they get the maintenance that paying for shuttle service would suggest. You WILL kick up big sharp rocks, so keep that in mind if you're rockin' a carbon frame.

Sweet video man I'll be going there few times this year. Never been. Seems like it's hard to know where to go at some spots on the trail. Do you know when they open the place up this year?
Austin, you'll have a blast! This was on opening day so some of the trails were still pretty fresh. I've been plenty of times since and the trails are easy to see. I think they are open right now! You'll have to give them a call / check the Facebook Page. I'll probably be there for the BME in a few months.
@@SDPov sweeeeet! I get my bike from Jenson I ordered just for Shephard mountain in 10 days!lol. I plan on racing the enduro event I think it said may 1st or 10th maybe. Thanks for the input dude!

@@SDPov 2021 Norco sight 29er. I can't wait!. I live in Central Illinois all we have is xc trails lots of climbing w little reward. Love shredding those little rewards though, lol. I need to get out to Ironton at least 3 times before the event to get familiar w the place. I was actually surprised the event is in early May. That's usually when we start riding again around here.

Thanks, Travis! This was filmed with a Gopro 9. I use a chin mount if I'm wearing a full face. If I'm wearing a half shell, I generally use a stuntman chest mount!

the audio makes the front fork sound like a dying skeleton from minecraft, but that was AWESOME. i havent been to southwestway in a long time, and could never muster enough courage to go down the powerline. but i mean that was a great run man!

@@MidWestMTB I haven't sign up for any of them yet. I did the oak Mountain one last year and absolutely hated it. It was way more XC than Enduro.

Hey Travis, Thanks! I did run the blue/black, Mineshaft, but didn't get a video of it. I think if you go on Shepherds facebook page, they have a video of it! The other blue jump line was closed on opening day so I didn't get to ride it.

I ride a dirtbike at Windrock and have a lot of respect for the mountain bikers ever since I started watching some of their videos. You guys encounter near-death experiences too!
It's truly hard to understand the steepness there until you see it in person! I race motocross as well and I think it'd be really cool to come and ride my dirtbike down here at some point. It looks like from your channel that you get to see incredible views from the top! I will be coming back here in March to do the TN National (Big mountain bike race) so stick around if you want to see more! Thanks for the comment and stopping by!
@@SDPov For some reason, the video/still cameras don't capture the steepness that well. Be careful out there. Windrock has caught me daydreaming once or twice.
That place is no joke. It will keep you on your toes the entire time. I love it can’t wait to go back. 5:15 was that jump I was asking if you ever cleared and at 14:02 that’s the same place I went down and drug my brake lever along that rock face haha
Yeah, I finally cleared that jump along with the lower portion of Talladega on Saturday. Dude I was not expecting that at 14:00. I tried stopping but my bike just started sliding sideways and I thought "welp, guess I'm going!"
@@SDPov yeah it was slick when I went. Couldn’t stop and if you went for the catch berms there was no way it would hold you.

This trip here was an assortment of rental bikes. My personal bikes are an Ibis Ripmo AF and a Ragley Mmmbop! What about you? I noticed your picture was a YZ. I race motocross, as well.
