dang, how do you tie in your material without it spinning around the hook?
Nice fly!
Hi, what materials did you use?
Nice but you don't show and demo the weave.
Nice tie! D wings look sharp!
After fishing Dee flies for Ontario Steelhead, I’ve been enlightened (actually mind blown). I prefer Dee over Spey or Intruders anytime. I’ve never seen anything track so well. The vibration off the wings quartering across current... vicious, every time!

Love the videos. Really dislike the musi and the lack of any verbal explanation of technique.
Супер.
Trés belle réalisation
Merci pour votre avis !!!
You need some fly tying lessons the fly is rubbish
Idiot..where are yours then?
Hello Greg Masters fly tying do it in one minute. :-)
This is a joke, isn't it? 15 minutes to tie a fly that could be tied in 2 minutes? And that looks like no cased caddis in nature?
Lovely tying of a nice fly. Will tie up a couple to fish in the River Tay in the spring. Len
Hi what is the wing in this fly?? cheers duncan

listened to Brahms: 6 Piano Pieces, Op. 118 - 5. Romanze In F as the music and that really served the video well
Thanks mate. Wing material this Argus Pheasant Primary Tail Feather www.flytyinginstruction.com/feathers/argus-tail.html
nice fly. what is the wing material?
bellissima riproduzione
La ringrazio molto per il vostro apprezzamento.
well done sir!
HOLY COW! I've been weaving the bodies on my nymphs all wrong! lol. I do it upside down and I actually wrap and weave around the hook shank simultaneously. But the way you did it with the little know and sliding the loop over the shank looks way easier and more consistent than the way I've been doing it. I love the pattern too by the way. Thank you for posting it!
Hello ! Everything I do see in the video. You have to train. :-)
+q1fly1 Oh I agree 100%. Practice makes perfect. And being new to fly tying I need all the practice I can get. I've tied a dozen or so of these in 3 different colors since first watching this video and the knotting technique you demonstrated here proved to be more consistent than the weaving. When weaving, I have a tendency to pull too hard on one side and sometimes the bodies are a little crooked on the hook shank. Again, thanks for the tips!
Very important is the good shape of the body. If you do it carelessly will never be a good effect. From proper sculpt the body depends on the good end result. Each node must tighten and be careful not to breaks in between segments. Look even at these links : th-cam.com/video/upIYgQkEgTk/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/f5hWu_TEBV8/w-d-xo.html
just a little tricks for you , the gut ( the eye) is supossed to be under the hook
I think I may have missed it, but did you list your 'ingredients'? If you could it would be helpful. Where does one get that plastic material? Thanks
Hello Larry It is the "Body Stretch". You can buy in any store fly tying.
+q1fly1 Thank you for your reply

Hi !!! Hackle is spey hackle capes of genetic specifically for spey or it may be a good feather cock shlappen. Wings and cheeks are from GP yellow. Cheeks: Jungle cock can do. Hook 1/0 salmon. Of course, the hook can be bigger so I need. I greet
Many thanks Morris !!!
A great YT site. I subscribed. Thanks Chuck.
This is an awesome beautiful fly, thanks for showing it. Would you mind to tell me what the black hackle is? I am also curious about the cheek feathers, are they GP yellow breast feathers? And last but not least: what hook in what size are you using? Sorry about so many questions, but it is your fly what makes me so curious..... Cheers Jan
gorgeous tying and beautiful fly. thanks for the video. Cheers
Thanks a lot buddy !!!
Very nice what type of dubbing was that and thread for the weeving ?
Hi ! Dubbing should be rough. Such that after combing leaves little thread imitating legs. For the body you can use any thick thread, twist or viscose.
Excellent!!!
Many thanks
Thank you very much for your art! I became a new follower of it. Great classics patterns and excellent tying gesture. Again, many thanks. Christian, from Buenos Aires, Argentina
Thanks for your opinion, Christian !!! I'm glad you liked it. best regards.
Very nice tying. Liked the piano too ;)
Thanks Alin !!! :-)
it is a good patern for winter flytying because it is more time consuming :D
