He is fun only at first glance. But soon enough he becomes grindy and repetitive. Besides that, he is not as intense as the boss from AG: Part 1. That's why he feels too easy. And his arena design is terrible. It's a flat plane for the whole duration of the fight, with no obstacles, and no vertical gameplay. I mean his marauder-like behavior and other abilities seem fine. Yet the fact that his battle is so long and there is not much of a change in the gameplay and its dynamics during the battle - makes the battle itself boring AF

​@@maxk4471yup. It's just a worse gladiator fight. Too many phases and it over stays its welcome.

@@maxk4471 the challenge for the Dark Lord is keeping him from getting health back, which is easier said than done most of the time, especially if you try fighting him after getting a bit rusty at the way Doom Eternal wants you to play the game. The weakest enemies are there for the purpose of replenishing your resources (armor, ammo, health, and recharging your hammer). It’s a bit challenging to bait him into doing the stuff you need him to so you can beat him, but sometimes you can get him locked into a pattern just like you can with the Marauder, which is why I think he’s fun. Also the Marauder is only fun when you just have to deal with him. As soon as there’s more stuff to worry about, he’s significantly less fun to fight, and becomes annoying. Also I’m pretty sure that the reason behind the lack of vertical gameplay for the Dark Lord is that fight is supposed to be like a coliseum battle like the one against the Gladiator boss. AG Part 1 boss took me like 30 or so tries to beat, because of everything going on. That also factors into why I think the Dark Lord is actually pretty fun to fight. Did not get me wrong he’s still annoying, but there’s no way I’m ever going through AG Part 1 again on a fresh file. That entire campaign was brutal in terms of difficulty. I might do that for AG Part 2 though as it was a lot more fair feeling to me.

@@ZombieRabbitStudios It isn't always about monetization. Some people do it as a hobby. It would have been awkward to post my comment on a 100k sub channel. I read your channel description and actually like your videos unlike other garbage channels that are somehow doing well. Your videos have thousands of views without any custom thumbnails or click bating. Now a days even you tube promotes click bating. I have posted almost 100 videos in 2 months, most of them are doom related but how do I make people watch those vids lol. I just want a thousand views on a few of em : )

Funny enough, Battlemode 2.0 ruined what I enjoyed about the multiplayer... in my opinion of course, its still fun... just not as fun. I enjoyed that it Used to be non-ranked, supportive of casual style play, with No skill based matchmaking. Before the rehaul or patch 6.66 (whatever the hell it was called), i used to play and enjoy multiplayer quite a lot, even met a bunch of friends just through playing and having fun. i reallyhavent touched battlemode since then, i strongly feel they Fd up removing casual play matchmaking for a Ranked Only multiplayer/matchmaking, They could've added ranked while keeping a non-ranked multiplayer matchmaking system optional. i'll play with you though, hit me up. ^-^

It just feels kinda Faded

I customize alot of my settings including the UI, and Rendering, which all can be changed in game to your liking. Raytracing is on, Rendering is set to Cinematic... i think, i turn off alot of hud icons that i feel is just clutter on screen, i keep the Hud Opacity turned way down (transparency of Hud). Hope that answers some questions. ^-^
