I haven't finished Invasions this season yet so I'm honestly not sure. Unfortunately, this video is from the first "Season of the Spectre" where that skin was a Kombat League reward. You can't get it from KL this season, so if it's not a reward from a chest in Invasions, then you'll probably have to get it from the Legacy Tower in Towers of Time that gives you old seasonal skins

I think being able to tele full screen with Motaro is huge for her. Her zoning and space control game is very strong and Motaro allows you to access that whenever you want. Lao does a lot of the same things, but I think Motaro really ties everything together. Both are good though; I've been experimenting with Khameleon too and they seem to synergize as well. It really comes down to preference

@@Sin-oy1nm Unfortunately, I think a lot of the OG pros just kinda play on the side these days. I ran into SaltFace a couple months ago too, I don't think any of them really stream or play the game consistently anymore :(

You're right, it does jail. I don't know why I didn't think to test that string, thank you bro. The only issue is that if they get shimmied you can't hit confirm just the second hit connecting, but you can definitely use that to check them from trying to press. And the timing isn't as strict as the f4 jail

@@haysan32 You can do f14 db4, and if they block the second hit, you can do the far teleport

⁠@@haysan32actually 12 is an os with dragon kick. delay your dragon kick significantly and then it will only come out on hit. very few people jnow about that

@@fernandomolinaamaro1290 Oh okay, I understand what you're talking about, no problem. So you want to time when you use Motaro right before the flying kick animation starts. When you do flying kick, a projectile comes out first. You should be calling Motaro right before you see the projectile on screen

You don’t want to teleport until right when the animation for the flying kick is about to start. There will be a slight delay after you input the flying kick before you actually press the teleport button

Motaro is my favorite kameo in the game, I been using him with a ton of other characters lately, he’s so fun to use

No problem fam, yeah it's a pretty interesting change but it's a massive buff for this team because before Motaro couldn't get you meterless damage like that. I think it works with Khameleon's fan lift and Lao's tele as well

I disagree, Motaro gives Liu a lot of utility that other kameos don't. Enhances his zoning and neutral game as well as his pressure, throw combos, free get-in tools, now you have safe armor and meterless punish combos... even if you don't agree with him being his best kameo, AT WORST he's top 3

That's fair, I think the hard-to-blockables are very powerful but in my opinion, Lao doesn't really provide much else. Now that you can launch meterless with flying kick into tele, Lao doesn't have that as an advantage anymore. Lao does give another zoning tool but with Motaro you will control the zoning game anyway. It's also a lot harder to make things safe with Lao's tele than Motaro's. You can close out rounds better with Motaro. They both have pros and cons but I think Motaro's utility is a little bit better than Lao's now, but I wouldn't be mad at anyone saying Lao is still his best. I'd even throw Khameleon in there too, they're his top 3 for sure

@@haysan32 another point is that sure you can control the screen with reflect anyway but in a lot of match ups you can only do BF1 since they can react jump your DB1. Lao provides that guaranteed mental stack that if they get in and low hat is active, they’re getting punished. Furthermore, If im versing liu motaro in comp, im switching to HL, tanya, mileena, lao, even omni man. React armour to F+kameo on motaro is his biggest counterplay. Especially if it launches. I’d be more scared or a liu lao purely of how good I utilize the team. Sure kham is decent but that team adds a gambling aspect to the matchup. Liu lao overall is more safer. Motaro may have better availability but its always not the right choice. Thats the way I see it.

Yeah I was trying to be careful not to repeat too much from my other guides for this team and I ended up forgetting a couple points I wanted to make for this one lol. But yes, safe armor is huge. It’s not the most meaningful thing however, because at midscreen he does not have a single follow up against any character that the opponent has to respect because of how far they are pushed back by this sequence. Also, jump back on the low fireball teleport setup does not get you a guaranteed punish. I’ve tested this against Johnny’s jump kick, Scorpion’s jump kick, Shao’s jump 2 with axe… if they time the jump early enough to punish the teleport, the low fireball will still hit them as they land. If they time it too late to try and avoid the fireball, it will not punish

@@haysan32 Thank you as well! If you do 4 into low shot as close as possible, you can jail into b2, atleast against Reptile. With the b2 into now safe bf3 it can be an actual treat. I will test the low fireball thing more, thanks, but if in worst case for them they still get their turn and you have to block the jump attack... Well, atleast you got in. Also i think jailing d3 into 33 is kinda good, because 33 is the only string that cant be interrupted by a jab if you do Motaros shot. Well, Liu himself can interrupt it, and only two other characters, but its not a problem

p.s. b2 into bf3 thing doesnt work after this because Motaro is still recovering. And, even if it is a true jail, sometimes you somehow can make b2 in that situation whiff, releasing block. However, there is still no gap for armor.

@@haysan32 Hmm, i think jumping forward as soon as you see Motaros teleport after the low fireball is a good option too. The close version of teleport leaves you kinda close though, but you cant jail anything, of course

If you're full screen and you low fireball and time your teleport immediately after, the low fireball will jail the opponent and you'll be able to do an attack before they can move or press. If they try to do anything besides block, they'll get hit and you can get a full combo

@@jasdavesandhu1422 Yeah, if you set the opponent to block always in practice, and then set them to do their armor attack as a reversal, you can practice the timing on when to do the low fireball into teleport so you can jail them

@@jasdavesandhu1422 Motaro doesn't really add any combo potential, he's more of a utility kameo. All your normal BnBs with Liu don't change if you're using Motaro, so you can't really make a combo guide that's specific to this team
