Deep dropping for SNOWY GROUPER and GOLDEN TILEFISH
Just got a boat and this is my worst nightmare, the rock boils any suggestion of what to look for? Or what to do to avoid them
@@cowboysnation1594 stay in the channel! The one of the biggest. Learn the water ways during the day and know them well before you travel at night. I look at Google maps a lot for fun but that can give you a good idea of your local area as well give you an idea about sandbars and other hazards. Notice little changes in the way the water acts. Waves break ice shallow water so look for creating waves no matter how small or notice any “soft spots” in the water. And if you don’t know the area you are in go slow!!
I am not American, how did a burmese python ended up in Florida?
I think it was a pet at one point that got out and now they have multiplied? I’m not 100% tbh. They invasive and they abundant.
Some were released by irresponsible owners when the got too big to keep as pets. Another source was from the Miami Serpentarium. It was destroyed during hurricane Andrew and some escaped into the everglades. We're now seeing the offspring of those original ones.
Awesome! I just got a damaged 20hp mercury for free for my 23 foot dusky with an unreliable oldsmobile big block and plan on doing this with it.
Safety is one of our top priorities and should be everyone’s, however that is a smart idea!
Congrats on the bambino! Hope all is well. Water vis looked great despite the wind. Wasn’t milked out and y’all had a bangin bug bucket to show for it 🤙🏼🇺🇸🤙🏼
Oh yea not bad for a bumpy day offshore man! And thank you the bambino is amazing! He be diving in no time! Lol

@@crbrown2760 thank you for watching! They definitely a day saver!
When you have a displacement hull, (or if you have a planing hull but are operating below planing speed) you need 8x the power to go twice as fast. This works in reverse too. So a 9.9 horse motor should be able to drive you half as fast as a 79.2 horse motor.
@@Bloodgod40 I did not know that. That’s interesting though and thank you for sharing! We will start searching for a 79.2hp motor 😂

we for sure were in the right area lol i think th4e bait was moving way to much on the bottom for the tiles. The top works amazing and absolutely love it. I would do it again in a heart beat. I use it pretty much in all of my videos.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a tent for the front of my boat. Got similar shaped to yours. What kind of tent was that that you're using on your front and if I could ask, where'd you get it from?
@@oceandeepfishing4555 I believe bass pro shops it’s a 7x7 tent. I think Coleman is manufacturer
Just bought mine today, can't wait to get it on some swords and some tile fish
No experience with swords however caught a 30 inch tile this year and it handled beautifully!
Why didn't you try to catch it or call somebody to do it
We were so far into the everglades it would be hours before someone would arrive, and why didnt we do it thats a good question lol
How much is the actual set back measurement? I know it’s listed as a 4” but they usually run more setback than advertised
I measured it and it’s actually 5 inches
Best technique I found for a large net. It works! Thanks.

With all this rain they're on the move right now

@@tracymartin1336 I don’t see what not, it would depend where I suppose. If there enough room for the supports to get a good bite with a through bolt do get through the pipe. Honestly hard to say without seeing size and such
I really and TRULY hope you don't screw around and let that slithering piece of dung escape. Go up above, and come down quietly against that side, and grab it when you go by.

Hey man how is this engine now? I'm about to put one on my 240 outrage, only a 250 PRO. 4400 pound boat rated for 300 but I have a kicker. They suggested the 250.
The motor is still awesome. The power from 6 cylinders to 8 cylinders is really evident on planing off. The max hp is 225 (which is what I have) on my boat but I also have a kicker and it was never a factor on installation, at least with my particular set up. Your 250 is probably the same everything as the 300, just programmed different. Regardless, I am very happy with this motor.
@@brianblizzard7591 I currently have a 225 Optimax (2003) on the boat. I'm thinking this is going to be night and day, I hope.
@@jacobmeyers3421 I think you will be happy with it. It will turn heads at the ramp when you start it…

How's the engine holding up? Im getting a new skeeter with a 150 yamaha. I was told to stay away from Mercury. Either Suzuki or Yamaha for an outboard.
This motor changed my opinion completely. I always thought Suzuki was eh, this motors performance is amazing and is super reliable. My father has a 225 PRO XS Mercury and he loves it. My grandfather as well as dual Mercury 115s and loves them. Got another couple a buddies is 200 Suzukis and a 140 Suzuki and they love them as much as I do. One friend of mine does have dual 300 mercurys, and he has had a few issues with them, belt snapping, shaft snapping in two places and a few other issues.
@@SeaShift thats good to hear. If I don't get a skeeter I'm probably going to get a Suzuki for sure if ita an option.
@@dethtour I would get the fly by wire option as well. Super smooth and it has ruined me of never having it again
When you're running your wires, tape them up and make them stiff, run them. Worked for me. Lol
Will try next time for sure! As you saw only tape enough so we don’t lose them lol
How long do you think the battery would last if you’re trying to fish all day?
The portable battery? We’ve used it before kite fishing and it lasted us the full day. Keep in mind that kite goes in and out a lot less times than deep dropping for the tiles or whatever you use your tanacom for. Also deeper water too and fighting a fish on the way up. If it’s possible I would just hardwire to the boat with a plug and can always get multiple plugs. Food for thought! The freedom of a battery and your choice of rod holder is nice as well
If you think that’s rough you should come to the west coast of Ireland where real men sail the seas!! 😂😂😂
Wasn’t to bad, but I’m good I’ve seen videos! You can have that for sure lol
Thanks for the video. Installing mine now . For backup and alittle trolling.
We actually just purchased a 2024 Suzuki 20hp to replace this motor. No issues with motor, this motor similar in size and weight offers more hp. Check back in a few days for a new video!
@@SeaShift nice. Got a mercury 9.9 looks new for half price of new for my 23ft sea fox wa. Mounting movable bracket now so i can get on my slip this week.
@@Aceman597 awesome, yea man we loved the 9.9 no issues with it as far as performance.
Motor is a long shaft and has larger gear box . Put on boat too long. Im going to take out the 5 inch spacer and fab to a short shaft. Damn swear its 5ft long. Even with my bracket all the way up its still below water line . Tilted up and shes a mile behind boat looking for distaster on my slip.
@@Aceman597 hopefully all goes well. Would love to hear some good news!
