Strongly recognizable due to the eclectic and exciting approach to the piano, Mario Mariani conceives the instrument as an orchestra with unusual sound alchemy where the composer and the performer merge.
Pianist and composer, he collaborates with important organizations and clients such as the Venice Biennale, (with two soundtracks of the Venice Film Festival), Theatres (Piccolo di Milano, FVG, Stabile Marche), Cultural Institutes and many others.
He received the "Oscar Marchigiano 2014" award for best musician and in 2016 he was the Artistic Director of the Piano Academy of the "Naturalmente Pianoforte" festival.
Furthermore he gives lectures, workshops and takes part in special projects with social communities and prisons with premieres performed in many theatres amongst them the Teatro Piccolo in Milan.
After "Utopiano" (2010), "Elementalea" (2012) and "The Soundtrack Variations" (2017)

Ok I am a fan of La Gazza Ladra from Marek i Vacek so I am always comparing everything to it. And I liked this rendition until around 8:20, which in the first repetition took power but here kept it and after 8:44 I totally loved it and I started to get goosebump. I like when it sounds dirty and not to clean, which some hard bass notes and and a passionate pianist will do.
