The Fishing & Fighting Podcast | Episode 1 | UFC 309 Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic
In our debut episode we discuss UFC 309 & the changes coming to the new channel format!
Unfortunately I ran out of time to film the last portion of the video (the fishing portion 🤦♂️) but have included the information in the description. I appreciate all of your support! 🙏🏻🎣🥋👊🏻🎥
Late Fall/Early Winter Bass Fishing Tips:
Most of you have already had the thermocline break in your bodies of water & bass have begun to start staging for their winter holds, so use lipless cranks/spinnerbaits/underspins to cover water until you locate them…after that I typically pick those groups apart with finesse jigs and Texas rigged craws.
As far as lure selection, the fall feed up is still in effect & baitfish imitators are very productive this time of year. Underspins that throw some extra flash to help them stick out amongst large schools of baitfish will increase the chance of a strike, from bass who are under & around the schools feeding. I typically start with spinnerbaits in the 3/8 range with a 2.5/3.5” swimbait trailer to cover water and draw reaction bites, but those will slow as temps drop, so smaller baitfish imitators generally become my go-to. 3-4” paddle tails on owner beast hooks. There’s also still time to catch some giants on slow sinking glides and segmented swimbaits at those offshore suspended bass that have been staged up early. Tight lines! 🎣

Foodie Fishing Friday - Best Chips & Salsa in Denver
Great video!! Love the fact you mentioned easy to paddle. Do you think the ex or the 8 foot one would fit inside a 2019 hyundai santa fe base model? I've been looking at the other brands and actually like this one better mostly because of the wheels
Pueblo Reservoir, Quincy Reservoir, Aurora Reservoir are all better. Along with a few others.
Thanks
My brother just blessed me with this ! I can’t wait to slay some crappie
Older video, but nice job with the rigging options...never thought about a weightless craw...Water's getting cold, i plan on using a 3" craw on a weedless ball head jig...soft craws are underrated & very versatile as u have shown...good video 👍
I'm a dynamite angler on open water in inland lakes and reservoirs. I have absolutely no idea how to ice fish, and do so with some confidence. Videos like this seriously help guys like me. Thanks!
Have a pontoon boat at Chatty's marina, so I fish it almost exclusively, only targeting the smallies. Last couple of years the lake has been so high (like 10-12 feet) so the tree line on the south end has been flooded and the cover has been great for bass fishing. Word is, they're gone cut down all the trees that have died or been eaten by beavers. Haven't heard about letting water out - so summer 2025 ought to be interesting. Marina is closed and winter is here. It would be nice to see a Playlist of winter bass fishing spots and tips. Keep it up.
@@chrisbray3236 channel has changed a bit since last year, but if you just scroll thru our videos to last winter you will find some great winter fishing content. A lot of bass thru the ice as well…and more on the way this winter!
44 bucks(without the storage boxes) on aliexpress black friday sale right now...might pull the trigger on this.
I have that 13 fishing camo rod but for some reason I can only find a different color they must not sell it anymore I’m there thermal I have that same camo combo
Good vid 👌 👍
@@TheDdrumbum32 I appreciate it. These are STILL my absolute favorite swim jigs! 🎣
Always loved your channel, bro! You def still the Colorado Bass Master, but I'm stoked to see what the new channel will be like! I'm a huge fight fan!
I really appreciate that. I’m just getting the ball rolling with this, but you know I’ll line up some killer content! Thanks for all your support! 👊🏻🫶🏻🎣
Great video and great fish man! If you dont mind me asking, where is the bridge where you caught the smallmouth at the timestamp 3:22? Thanks!
Are u the same guy who threated to kill me and my wife at the park off tenneson ? You look like him.
😂😂 Definitely wasn’t me.
I have the same boat more videos please of it
I'm too lazy to drive to a mountain lake an hour a way, when there's get local fishing in the small lakes and the Platte. Glad you stopped by our city.
Came this morning ! huge Carp and Rainbow Trout ! Forsure
The name of the lake is bleeped out???? WTF
I saw kicking bass so i clicked think8ng it was kicking their bass tv
U wouldn't happen to be interested in selling it would ya??
I'm going to college in Denver. Can I learn to fish with you?
I'm going to college in Denver. Can I learn to fish with you?
Your foot prints were still there. Great place. Needs a better water level to the south. Walking a booyah I didn"t have same results as yourr hand pours. Did get into them though,
How do you like the action of that frog? I have the anglingai AR frog and its alright but im looking for something heavier for a little more noise.
This is my go to spot by my house 🔥🔥
I finally caught one using this technique. Thanks.
I went Bass Baby because of the wheels 😂
Just north of Confluence Park is a foot bridge crossing the Platte to Commons Park. If you drift a San Juan worm between the 1st pilling and the bank on the S.W. side, there is a hole that holds some nice trout.
Sorry to hesr man he passed... i guess i be cody number 2 cause im all over denver fishing lol i been going on my ebike through the city. Good stuff bro maybe 1 day i will run into you im all over the platte and other areas, including lowell ponds
just picked this up yesterday for my first baitcaster
Same lol
Muchas gracias, excelente video!!
Ever tried fishing at the promontory ponds in Greeley? Pretty decent bass in there!
What creek was that at the end I’m looking to try that out
Pretty cool, thanks!
Love that spot, solid bass in there, nice catches!
That’s a fun filled video!!! Awesome Lures you made my Brother!!! Lots of Beautiful Bass!!!
Would it be ok with 35 ib braid and a heavier top water?
@@LiamCode absolutely. Although I usually go with 45-65lb for topwater or large swimbaits. 👊🏻🎣
Great video. Hopefully u do well
@@dalewilliams6440 hey Dale! How are you doing? Catching some big summer bass I hope!
@@fishingandfightingpodcast haven't gone for 2 months. Busy with job and try to get my truck fix soon

@@geegzaeastla I’m doing alright. I appreciate the love! 🫶🏻👊🏻🎣
Great video brother! Could you hook me up on some details for good spots in the area?
@@luisesparza8568 if you’re downtown check out the platte, wash park & city park. Great spots for bass!
What’s the name of this place?
The cheap daiwa rods are really good
Do you ever go to Grasmere Lake Washington Park for Bass? That's my personal favorite!
@@BigBassBarryColoradoFishing all the time. Great spot! 🎣
@@fishingandfightingpodcast I seen your videos we should meet up one day.
Been looking at this mold for a while. Will a 6oz injector fill it if shooting single colors? I have a dual but i shoot alot of singles also.
@@KeithRhodes-i5u She definitely drinks some plastic, but the total weight of all 6 frogs plus the runner/sprue is 3.5oz so you should be fine.
@KickinBassTV alrighty thanks I appreciate it
I got a lil gem of a honey hole for large kissers It’s close to Denver just north of north east Denver It’s kinda hard to get to off the bike path right next to the platte I go down there and only see bike riders passing by I stop at BILL’S live bait on Washington and 62nd-61stish (lol) Right before the train tracks before 58th and Washington But go there an shut a dozen of leaches for $5.95 And a dozen on minnows for $3.95 Got all types of lives and cut baits Need line he got it Little tiny weights up to a pound lead sinkers for them good ol wipers iykyk But run a slip bobber down 20” to a leach Hook ‘em right under the sucker and they stay alive When pull em out of the water they curl up like a rollie pollie And when they hit that water They open and stretch out liek 4-6” long and wiggle like a bad outta hell Them bass can’t control them self like a base head around baking soda and cocacola Also do very well on the walleye at the gravel pits Number 3 The one off steele and 78th Fish the rocks With a slip weight and bobber And throw a leach on and run them 4-8” off the bottom Catching 24-28” wally’s early AM or a hour before they close the gates Tight lines fella’s
Not trying to be rude but ifnits a 100ah battery it will only last about 5 hours at top speed definatley not 4 or 5 days
I never said anything about running it at top speed. The battery lasts 4 days on a full charge because I conserve energy & use the 3hp to cover water spot/spot…I don’t recommend running any tm at top speed all day, as that’s a quick way to damage your battery 🪫
This is awesome!! I didn't know bass hunter was still manufacturing!! It was my first boat in the 90s when I was 12. My grandparents had a lake property around Miles Kale Lake in North Florida and my grandfather was given one as partial payment for a tractor. It was used when we got it and I fished that thing into my early 20s. Even after I bought my first boat I still fished the BH on lakes or places I wasn't running too far out from the ramp. My brother and I are looking for a boat like this for my nephews that they can take out on the lake themselves and I searched it just looking for old specs to compare with other brands today! I'm so stoked now! 😂😂 Thanks man! Great video! I just saw you comment and say the customized video is coming soon!! Perfect timing! I'm super pumped! Nostalgic af!!
You the man
Does it backlash a lot?
No, it’s super smooth! 🎣
You just gave me another place to fish after the shad hatch happens at cherry creek and Chatfield. Much appreciated.
PJ? I just moved to Old NorthEnd near downtown. PJ is right around the corner. I moved from Texas 5 years ago and am seriously needing some largemouth action. Trying to find the best way to enter now lol. Good luck!
Hickory!!! Fully funded by WRHS and its alumni haha. Great vid!
